He did initially tried to charge me a little more than the average for the area but after I explained that I had done research for the labor costs and already have materials he got the cost significantly also mention that you found him on Angie's List. Though it takes a long time to book him because he is usually busy he works very fast, but not sloppily, and the work was completed in approximately 4 days with a small crew of three one of whom was his son. we are almost done with most of our work but I'm a call him back for some minor repairs thing that needs to be completed the only complaint I have is that at least one of the workers is a smoker and I found a few cigarette butts in my yard or in the bushes next to where they were sawing which was not very pleasant. That is a minor complaint though because as contractors go they show up on time and they get the work done and they get the work done well; which, I don't know if you use very many contractors, is unusual and a good thing. Overall I would use them again in a heartbeat and I would suggest them to other people.

"We have two decks, one on the front of the house, and a large deck on the rear.  We've taken pretty good care of the decks over the years and have stained and sealed them every 3-4 years.  It was time to do it again! I called three of the top rated companies from Angie's List and set up appointments for them to look and the job and give us a quote. My impressions were that I wanted Eric to do the job if his quote was in line with the others.  When all the quotes were in, his was the most reasonable, and, by far, the most complete and detailed as to what he was going to do.  I called him and gave him the go ahead to do the work.  He sent Michael out to do the job which began with a very thorough cleaning job on both decks, a great deal of which was done on his hands and knees.  The decks were not really that dirty,but when he was done, they were spotless!  Michael came back after the decks had completely dried and began hand painting the decks. To say that he did a great job would be an understatement. I watched him smoothing out brush strokes and giving our decks the attention that I would expect from an interior job!  Michael went way above and beyond what I expected, and I had high expectations.  The decks look fantastic and I'm extremely pleased with the job that Cooley Painting and Michael did for us.  I can't wait for the next project so that I can use their services again!
