"Their professional advice was to get gutters and wait and see if that fixes the problem. We really appreciate their honesty cuz they could have sold us thousands of dollars for the useless waterproofing. We definitely will choose them for any waterproofing needs in the future."

"Cody and his team did a great job! Cody and his crew not only did an excellent job but were also honest, hardworking, and professional. They told us they would have the job done in two days and even though rain made the conditions much more difficult they stayed late to be able to complete the project in two days. They did an excellent job cleaning up as well. We had several companies come out and look at our water issues and we are so glad we went with ACE. Would 100% recommend them and would use them again."

"I called about a small wet area in a corner of a finished basement. They walked in with the preconceived idea that I needed a basement drainage system and sump pump. There was a drainage pipe, plainly visible, in the wet area. I ask if the problem could be from the pipe but was repeatedly told the water was coming from between the foundation and the concrete block. Never was any other possibility considered. The problem turned out to be the pipe. A much cheaper fix than their proposed solution. To be fair I received the exact same experience from 2 other foundation companies."

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

One handy thing about whole-house dehumidifiers is, once installed, you don’t have to worry about placement or changing the dehumidifier’s position. But if you are using a portable dehumidifier, we suggest keeping it away from walls, vents, and furniture. It needs a central, unobstructed spot with access to lots of air to do its job.

Sandbags are the most common and efficient way to create a flood barrier at home. Some local authorities pass them around to homes before the risk of a flood. Otherwise, you can use flood-proof house materials, like burlap or woven plastic bags, to make sandbags and fill them with sand or cat litter. Make sure that when you stack them, they’re tightly laid on top of each other, creating the effect of a firm wall against accumulating water.

You should always hire a structural engineer or a professional and licensed foundation repair company for crawl space repair. These professionals will often be able to treat the symptoms of the issue as well as the underlying problem so that you don’t have ongoing damage. They’ll also often take preventative measures to stop the issue from recurring in the future.

Yes, professional installers use weather-resistant materials to protect the dish and cabling from environmental damage.

Water that pools under pavers can erode the soil foundation and weaken the paver structure. In some situations, it can also cause mold and mildew growth. If that happens, you may need to start budgeting for the cost to build and install a patio to replace the damaged one.
