"I called a representative from Prime Management. His name is Clint W. He came up with an estimate for three items (jobs) that needed to be fixed/redone. Clint sent an estimate to me that night. We were way behind schedule for this kind of work due do to the amount of rain for the past four to six months. Recently, we hit about a three-day stint of dry hot weather. Clint sent a representative to check the jobs out that day to begin the next day. David, their contractor showed up late morning that morning. He removed and patched the rotting spots on one of the two dormers w/new siding. He also repainted the replacement siding to match the rest of the house. He then repainted the exterior picture window trim with the what paint and moved onto the chimney enclosure with the house paint. It was amazing to me that the worker that Clint sent over got everything done in a short amount of time! He was finished in one day where I was expecting two to three days work. David, the worker that Clint sent over to do the job was very attentive. He always approached me when he had questions which he did many times. He cared and worked very hard to "get things right" and he did! I highly recommend these people!"

"Dennis finished a front entry way for me using some old unusual shaped brick. It was not an easy job but it turned out great. He was on time and finished in just two days. He also did a good gob of cleaning up afterwards. I will be using him again. ð  Â"

"Luke was amazing. He gave us a quick quote that was reasonable. He started and worked when he said he would. He kept us updated and sent pictures afterward. The quality of his work was excellent. I was so pleased with his work. He went above and beyond by doing a couple extra things for us as we were out of state. I would and will recommend him to anyone looking for a professional quality painter!"

"The whole team was fantastic. Byron won my Mom's confidence by helping to think through color and flow options. We had some pretty tight timelines in which to get work done (in between having new cabinets installed and a new floor put down - through Lowe's), and his team executed on the timelines perfectly. They showed the utmost respect for me, my family and the new kitchen. Russell Remodeling & Painting exhibited tremendous work ethic and I would highly recommend them."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

The decision to repair or replace stucco depends on the extent of the damage. For minor issues like small cracks, holes, dirt, stains, or discoloration, a repair is typically sufficient and more cost-effective. These issues can often be resolved with a simple repair, a deep clean, and possibly a new coat of paint. However, for more significant problems such as large cracks, peeling, mold, algae, or structural water damage, a replacement might be necessary. In these cases, it is best to call a professional stucco contractor for an inspection. An expert can assess the severity of the damage, determine if there are deeper issues, and advise whether a repair is adequate or if replacing a section or an entire wall is the more cost-effective, long-term solution.

Stucco repair can best be described as a patch. It involves identifying the problem and fixing that specific damage with additional stucco. If no mold infiltration or an underlying leak is causing the damage, repair is most likely all you need.

Remediation, on the other hand, involves removing the existing siding, fixing the underlying cause of the damage, and then reapplying stucco siding for that wall. It’s a more permanent fix that takes longer to complete and, hence, comes with a steeper price tag than repair.

To maintain stucco, inspect it annually for cracks and clean the surface with a mild detergent. Seal any cracks promptly to prevent water infiltration, and reseal or repaint as needed to preserve its appearance.

Quikrete will set without mixing. The process of pouring dry concrete into your concrete form and then adding water is called dry pouring. While this method makes pouring concrete simpler and easier, it reduces its strength and durability. It can be a viable option for small, decorative concrete pavers for walkways or for setting fence posts, but it’s not ideal for pouring slabs that will bear any significant amount of weight.

If it is applied properly, stucco is a durable material that can last between 50 and 80 years, especially with regular repair and maintenance. Things like painting the stucco every 10 years or so will help it last longer. The location of your home plays a big part in the life span of your stucco, too.
