"Full disclosure, she booked them, I didn't. Don't book them through Angie's, call them directly. Angie's is very good at making appointments and not so good at telling the crew they have appointments. Once we got them there, they were outstanding. Her late grandfather did a lot of his own electrical work and a lot of it was pretty dodgy. The two techs found the badly wired ceiling fan that tripped the breaker, rewired that fixture, and got the power back on to a third of the house the old guy had been powering with extension cords for ten years. They were polite, thorough, and very fairly priced. Very highly recommend."

"Luke called immediately after request to schedule. Timing worked out perfectly - the next 2 days. He arrived on time, painted 2 separate stairways with very high walls on day 1 and then day 2 painted our living room very high ceilings. Overall, could not have had a better experience. Will definitely hire again and highly recommend."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

In short, no. You can use the square footage range chart in this article to determine the right size ceiling fan for both indoor and outdoor spaces. However, weather elements can damage types of ceiling fans that aren't designed for outdoor use, so your ceiling fan should be weather-resistant if you plan to install it outside.

Selection relies on matching fan size and power to attic volume and ensuring compatibility with home electrical systems and ventilation requirements.

Leaving an exhaust fan on constantly isn’t ideal. While it helps remove moisture and odors, continuous use will lead to wear and tear, higher energy costs, and even fire risks if the motor overheats. Bathroom fans should run for 20 to 30 minutes after a shower, while kitchen exhaust fans should be used only when cooking or clearing air.

While ceiling fans are built for regular use, running them continuously without breaks can lead to overheating and wear over time. If your fan has a thermal shutoff feature, it may stop running to protect the motor. To extend their lifespan, it’s best to turn fans off when they’re not needed.

Once you remove all standing water and puddling, you should run fans for 24 to 48 hours to remove the remaining moisture. For severe water damage, it’s a good idea to run them for three to four days to be safe. Make sure you buy or rent the proper size and number of fans for your water-damaged area.
