I am from the area originally, served in the Air Force from 2011 to 2017 and have been taking over the family construction business ever since. I am a general contractor by trade with an extensive portfolio and mini mini references. I do, however, like to take on smaller projects to fill in the gaps between the longer ones so don’t hesitate to reach. Thank you.
I’m an old-fashioned, affordable, honest handyman. I am very versatile. \n\nI have worked in construction for over 25 years. I have extensive experience in drywall repair, trim and carpentry work, electronic containment fences and custom pet doors (I can put one anywhere- glass door, window, wall, etc). \n\nThere’s absolutely no job that I won’t at least take a look at and give my honest opinion. No job is too small. No job is too odd. I can do light car maintenance or complex home repairs. Clean-up or Custom work. Just ask! \n\nFlexible hours. Weekends available.

"From start to finish, Durante service was outstanding. They tested for lead paint (old house), found it, and took care of disposing of everything (for an additional charge). I was thoroughly impressed with how efficient and speedy their work was, and they showed up exactly when they said they'd be done, and didn't waste any time finishing the job. Workmanship was excellent, they cleaned up every day of the job (3 days), and their whole crew was very conscious of keeping the house clean, despite how much tearout was required. The original salesman also followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the windows. The windows themselves were a premium grade choice, more expensive than their standard by a small amount. After two years of ownership now, I'm impressed with how tight and sealed they are. No pane failures, and they are all so very easy to open top or bottom. Low-E glass is also excellent. The exterior trim was covered with aluminum, and they did an excellent job fitting each piece in place, and ensuring the flashing was properly installed. They also foam-filled the sash weight cavities to prevent air leakage. Overall, I will be using them again. "
We never sub-contract, all work performed is inspected or performed by me personally, Material cost required in advance, payment required upon completion.
This happens when condensation forms due to your room temperature being lower than its dew point. You can clean the glass with a combination of baking soda, vinegar, and warm water to wipe away the fog from the doors.
Cutting glass yourself can be dangerous, as the edges are sharp and can easily cause lacerations if you’re not careful. Working with larger pieces of glass is especially dangerous, as they can be cumbersome and difficult to handle without shattering. If you’re uncomfortable doing the work yourself, you can hire a professional to get the job done safely.
Yes, you can use glass cleaner on outside windows, but only after you’ve rinsed away as much debris as possible. Using glass cleaner on top of a layer of dirt will only make it harder to clean.
You can still see vaguely into some types of glass block windows at night. Although there won’t be clear definitions, passersby may still see shapes, shadows, and movement through the glass. If you want complete privacy, consider installing diamond glass block windows rather than the typical clear or wavy glass blocks.
The cost to remove a mirrored wall from your home ranges between $100 and $3,300, though the average price is only $500. You can save money by doing it yourself, but make sure you have safety equipment such as goggles and gloves, as well as the proper tools (drywall knife, wire saw, and a plastic sheet or tarp to cover the floor).
