"Bruce did a great job installing a ceiling fan and replacing two other ceiling fans. He pointed out some really old boxes and had to go in the attic to attach them. He also installed a new ceiling light in the dining room and moved a ceiling light. Bruce was super at cleaning up after each job. Bruce will be my go to for any other handyman jobs I need in the future."

"I have used Elite Handyman Services for a few years for several different jobs. They have delivered top tier service every time! Just this morning a branch fell off of a tree in my yard into the street making it impassable and I was stressing! I called Kamarrus Amison, the owner and he promptly responded and had help on the way in record time! They are very professional, courteous, kind, and honest people who do excellent work. Please call them if you want the job done right at a fair price."

"The categories offered do not fit exactly what was done. While fence repair was needed and done by Jeff, the primary repair was a building a retaining wall to stop further damage to the fence. Jeff designed and constructed the wall with reinforced concrete blocks and finished it with stucco to blend in with the color of the surrounding area. He then repaired the fence so there should be no more issues. Jeff was always in contact with me to let me know when he would arrive, what the status of the project was and anything else I needed to know."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Home inspectors only check swimming pools if they have expertise in that area. During a standard home inspection, they focus on the house’s structure, roof, foundation, electrical, plumbing, and other components. If they examine your pool, they’ll check the pump and heater. If you want a thorough pool inspection, hire a pool inspection specialist.

You can place many materials under a pool to level it, including sand, concrete, solid foam, pavers, or finely crushed gravel. You can also use a tamper or roller to level ground without using a shovel to dig. No matter the material, make sure to level the ground with sand first for a smooth, even surface for the pool to sit on.

You don’t need to drain the whole pool to patch a pool liner, but be prepared to dive in with your swimsuit and goggles to patch a leak below the water level. By draining the pool, you can actually expose the liner to more harsh conditions, like wind and sunlight, that cause the tears to worsen. It’s best to use the ink test and waterproof patches or tape to identify the leak and patch it up.

In most states, it is a legal requirement to have a fence around your pool to protect both swimmers and pool owners. These laws can vary by state, city, and county, so you must research the specific regulations in your area before installation. The rules may also differ for inground versus above-ground pools, with inground pools typically requiring a full fence. Additionally, most homeowners' insurance providers will require a fence around a residential pool before providing coverage. As a general rule, it's always best to have a fence for everyone's safety.

Yes, you can absolutely use a sand filter with a saltwater pool, but you’ll have to make sure you have the right grade of sand to catch smaller particles, just like in a standard pool. To choose the right pool filter, consider the degree of filtration you’ll need. Cartridge or diatomaceous earth filters can remove smaller particles, so they’re better suited for a less chlorinated saltwater pool.
