"Water pressure was increased in home but the main issue was in the kitchen where I had very little water pressure. By the time he left we had NO water pressure in the kitchen and now have to replace faucet."

"I had a water leak in my ceiling due to my water heater. Wes was able to fit me into their busy schedule and his crew arrived as promised. With inspection they were able to give me options. They replace my water heater and disposed of the old one to eliminate any further damage to my home. His crew were professional, polite and experienced. I would recommend Keith The Plumber."

"Josh and Jonathon were great! Responding to me very quickly, they came to my residence and discussed the problem I was having with water pressure. We agreed what needed to be done and they came back the next morning and resolved the issue, I am very pleased with their work and fair pricing. I will call them again in the future if needed! Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

While it depends on how complicated the unit and installation is, it takes two to four hours to install a water softener unit, on average. It might take longer if pipes need to be replaced. You should make sure the installation area is clear of any objects that might get in the way before you begin.

Yes, you can have both a water softener and a water filter. In fact, some manufacturers sell dual water softening and filtration systems that treat hard water and provide clean drinking water. If you’re unsure about what you need or want to discuss your options, reach out to a local water softener installation company.

Hard water is not considered unhealthy and is safe to drink, cook with, and bathe in. It doesn't pose a risk to your physical health and can even help you get enough essential minerals like calcium in your diet. However, it can negatively affect skin and hair. Using hard water for washing can contribute to dry skin, an itchy scalp, and may worsen conditions like eczema by altering the pH balance. Additionally, some people do not like the taste of hard water.

Installing a water softener could help reduce calcium buildup in your pool if your pool has high calcium hardness as a result of hard drinking water in your home. Pool softeners work by exchanging calcium and magnesium for sodium, so if you use softened water to top off your pool, it may help keep calcium hardness from rising over time. However, it won’t lower the calcium hardness of the water already in your pool and isn’t a practical way to control pool calcium levels. The average water softener installation cost is between $200 and $6,000.

If your water softener repair is fairly straightforward, like a simple filter replacement, then you can probably do it yourself with little risk. However, anything beyond a simple fix should be addressed by someone with extensive plumbing expertise to avoid costly water softener problems, like leaks.

That said, even simple problems can be complicated to diagnose, particularly if your water softener is attached to a whole-house treatment system. So, unless you feel absolutely certain that the problem is an easy fix that you can take on yourself, it's probably best to hire a plumber to diagnose and fix the problem.
