"The work crew arrived on time and set up to begin work in empty unit after I demo'd old windows. They made cut-outs where necessary and installed the new windows, then insulated and caulked and did the trim work inside and out. It took most of the week. My property manager scheduled with the tenants. The tenants all liked the new look and extra light and ventilation! These new windows should improve the insulating factor from the other ones. "I contacted Jim Burke of Crestone about making a small repair to the 2nd floor deck of my house. After checking more thoroughly it was found there were a number of boards with significant decay. Many of the boards were so bad, there was nothing to hold a screw or nail. The small repair I had in mind would have left the deck dangerous, still not meeting building codes, and would have staved off replacement by only a year or two. Steve, the project manager, made suggestions that resulted in a more through repair and when a glitch was discovered part way though, a modification was made that resulted in an even stronger better looking finished product. Over 30+ years I worked over-seeing a variety of contractors who did every imaginable aspect of construction and maintenance work on the large office building I managed. The scope of the projects varied from adding or removing a door or two to adding 5,000, 10,000, and 20,000 square foot, two story additions to the building. The Crestone workers were as good or better than any I worked with. The workers showed up promptly every day, stayed on the job, and completed it without delay. Once they worked all day in a driving rain. They stayed on the job continually and took only a short lunch break. The workers thoroughly cleaned up at the end of every day and hauled away debris. In recent years I have wondered how projects get completed as the new acceptable standard appears to be that workers talk and text on their cell phones throughout the workday and take frequent smoke breaks. I saw Crestone’s employees making or taking a phone call only once or twice during the 6 day period and never saw an employee smoking a cigarette. The Crestone labor rate is based on 100% productivity the entire work day without an inefficiency factor for cigarette breaks, talking and texting on cell phones, or breaking and wasting time talking among themselves. The deck looks better and is stronger than when it was originally built in 1991. It looks 100% better than my simple repair would have produced. The shaky, wobbly stairs and rail are now very solid. I highly recommend Creston General for any home or construction job and will call them first for any work I may need to have accomplished."

He was referred to me from Mike at Builder's Millwork Supply to make my custom kitchen countertops (he actually is the one who made their displays). Not only is the quality of work excellent... he was timely, professional, polite, down to earth, kept the work area clean (that is hard to find with a contractor in previous experiences) and made sure that my counters were beyond my expectations. I could tell that he really takes his time to be sure his work is perfect. After this experience, I actually hired him to install wall beadboard, kitchen cabinets, and counters in a small rental I own... which he did a fabulous job. Prices are very fair. Highly recommend!"

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. "We are remodeling an older house and needed someone to re-trim our 2500 square foot home. Reusing some of the old trim and supplementing it with new, Josh was able to make our windows really shine. He showed up to the job site on time and did a fantastic job. He also stepped in and help out wherever there was a need. Prepping the facia board for new wire to be run by cutting a 6 inch swatch all around the house. Josh has a great positive attitude and has been a pleasure to work with.
