"Rock Landscaping tackled a big project for us by shoring up sloped areas with retaining walls ranging in height from 2 to six feet. Additionally, they masterfully installed a beautiful large stone staircase up a steep grade (21 steps) to the upper portion of my property and surfaced my long driveway (.12 mile) with a good thick coating of D1. Russ Enz the owner gave me great pricing on this $50k plus monster sized project. His guys are true professionals, who are easy to work with, understand your vision, work hard and have a knack for turning raw land into a gorgeous landscape. "Our original project included prepping new lake property by clearing trees, excavating, leveling and building a pad for our RV. They also were able to accommodate our additional request to build a path down to the lake. We were very happy with the results. We for sure would use them again!"

Folks, do not use any other foundation company. These guys are the best hands down! Courteous, professional, hardworking, you name it! Don't waste your money or piece of mind with anyone else. Get it done right the first time. I actually found them through Angie's List.

My family and I purchased a nice house recently but found out a week after moving in that the foundation had some serious issues and my first and second floors were sinking. I called AFT, talked with Scott, one of the owners, and he was out to my house within 30 minutes to a**** my situation (I was impressed from the get-go). Scott and his brother Bill were awesome! very professional and courteous as were the rest of the guys. Scott took his time and assessed my problem and gave me an estimate on the spot for repairs. Compared to my online research they were by far the best price around. Although a costly repair by nature, he gave me a great price for my repairs because he cared and understood my predicament. Most businesses seem to just care about money but not these guys. I appreciated that tremendously since we just moved here from Louisiana and spent a lot of our money in the move. I am also unemployed and money was kind of scarce to say the least.

They fixed my foundation problem without a hitch and they were on-time every day and worked so hard I got tired just watching them. They explained everything each step of the way and the guys on the crew were very trustworthy and have great personalities. Special shout-out to James, Kenyon and Gerald because you guys were awesome! the hardest working guys I've ever seen and very courteous. I couldn't be more pleased with them and the service I received... they know their stuff! You don't have to worry about getting screwed over by this company because they're not like that. I would highly recommend them if you have foundation issues.

A topographic survey will also help your contractor determine the cost of land development projects.

You will find a collection of licensed land surveyors in your area. Your real estate agent or construction manager may also be able to recommend a trusted professional. When speaking with prospective pros in your area, ask the land surveyor if they are licensed in the state, have liability insurance, and can quote you a fee before starting.

If you or your mortgage lender think your land survey needs to be more accurate, double-check the survey report and get at least a second opinion from the original surveyor and an inspector, if possible. Although it’s unlikely, even reputable surveying companies can make mistakes.
