  • Good Homes Construction
Have never been more pleased at the execution of a skilled trademan. Chad's extensive knowledge and labor of remodeling has always been top shelf! As a 32 year Facilities Manager, I've used him on many commercial and residential projects and have never recieved less than high praise for his work. His attention to detail set him apart from any contractor I've encountered. My projects with him includes Historic properties, commercial, and residential. His honesty with pricing has assisted me and others involved in successfully completing major projects within time allocated. Would hire him over and over

  • Jack of All Trades By George
and quot;Jack Of All Trades - by Georgeand quot; was recommended to me by a good friend and I'm glad I decided to use his services. The friend who referred me hired George to do a major roof repair to his camping trailer; George charged less than half of what the dealership wanted and the repair was excellent. I called George looking to have an a/c unit installed on my pop-up camping trailer but didn't know what to expect. He was honest and transparent about everything. He explained what options would be appropriate for my particular trailer with a range of prices, offered some observations about the build quality of each unit as well as the performance track record from what he receives for repair in his shop. I decided to spend a little more and get the Dometic a/c unit because of the 2-year comprehensive warranty, significantly higher build quality and higher cooling output. I dropped off my trailer at his shop the next day (Thursday). He confirmed my selection of a/c unit and briefly went over the installation work with me again. (I appreciate a professional who understands the importance of clear communication before work begins). He phoned in an order for the a/c unit (while I was there) and promised the work would be completed by Wednesday of the following week but he instead finished early and my trailer was ready for pick-up that Monday. Payment was very easy too, he swiped my credit card with one of those and quot;Squareand quot; card readers on his phone and emailed me the receipt. I payed for parts when I dropped off the trailer and labor, separately, when I picked it up the following Monday. When I came to pick up the trailer he had it set up in his shop with the newly installed a/c unit operating. He walked me through the basic operation of the a/c unit a few highlights about the installation. I was very impressed with his work and the wiring job was especially clean and hidden. Even more impressive was that without asking (or charging) me, he went ahead and took care of a few minor issues that he noticed while he had my trailer in his shop. He tightened the cable clutch for raising the top and refastened a trim piece that was loose on the bumper. Very high quality workmanship; this guy is the only person I will go to for my camper/RV repairs and upgrades. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND and quot;JACK OF ALL TRADES - BY GEORGEand quot

  • Total Construction by Dale Lands LLC
Never happened: Mother payed deposit of almost $500 and just over 2 months later, still getting jerked around as to why its not even SCHEDULED yet. Mr Lands is quoted as saying "you're not getting your money back" even though the contract clearly states there is a 15% cancellation fee, "do what you gotta do" is in regards to my mother trying to get her money refunded, and "you're not a priority" is in regards to my mother asking why jobs ordered after her are getting done before hers is even scheduled. Very unprofessional and just good old fashioned robbery in my book. Please look elsewhere. Just an fyi, this place is the same place as Total Home Center on 40/42. Don't know why it's not listed as such...

Mr Rogers demanded to be paid up front for the job,. We had used him before and while we werent real keen on doing this, we went ahead and did it anyway. He came by, picked up the check for $2500 and proceeded to start stalling us with various flimsy excuses. When he finally did show up, 10 days after he said he was going to, him and his crew worked about 4 hours and left. During this 4 hours, he found additional "damage" that needed to be repaired. He stressed it wasnt "just nailing some wood down" and wanted $700 to repair 3 spots. He ended up just nailing the wood back down for $700 and he didnt even do all the spots he charged us to do. When I confronted him about this, he told me that since my fiance already authorized it, there was nothing I could do about it but pay it and if we didnt, he would walk off the job. The next day his crew returned without him and worked for another 4 hours and left. He came by the next day demanding $700 for the "repairs" he did and against our better judgement, we paid him because our roof was already torn up and we didnt want to be left holding the bag. Well, we were left holding the bag anyway. He took the check for $700, went to the bank and cashed it and told my fiance the roof wasnt getting finished. At least he was truthful about one thing. We took him to small claims court and he didnt even bother to show up. The judge ruled in our favor but we have not seen a dime from Danny and I dont expect we ever will. Update Added 10/15/2012 - Approx 1 year ago, we went back to court against Mr Rogers as he appealed for not showing up the first time. The mediator listened to both sides of the case and awarded us a judgement (again) on the spot. Mr Rogers did not appeal this verdict again. Approx. 1 year later we have not seen a dime from him and still dont expect to. Updated 4/15/2015 - Danny is now doing business in Willow Springs, NC. His new website is Danny has made no attempt to pay his judgement to us and continues to do business. It has also come to our attention that Danny is a convicted felon. Here is his offender page: Use at your own risk
