  Bottom line: I cannot recommend Pawlak plumbing enough. Every part of their service was exemplary. The long story: We wanted to replace an old tank water heater, which was improperly hooked up to a recirculation line, with a new tankless unit. In doing so, we also want to address water pressure issues, install a water conditioner, and flush buildup out of our lines. Of the quotes we got, Pawlak was the only one that identified that we needed to increase the size of the pipes, which required increasing the size of our water meter, which they walked us through the process of working with the water company to accomplish (I didn't even know that was a thing). They also properly looked up the recirculation line to the new tankless unit, taking advantage of the built-in pump, installed the water conditioner in the right place for easy access and maintenance, ensured our lines were clear, and maximized our pipes and the pressure value to ensure that we had the maximum allowable pressure. So, at the end of the day, they did everything we asked, and did it well. But the story doesn't stop there, oh no. You see, the tankless unit we purchased was missing a very small part. A very small... yet important... part. A clip that connected the water line to the pump. Without this clip, water just splashed everywhere. Clearly, this was a manufacturing error and not damage; it just didn't get installed. This is where Pawlak actually stepped in and went above and beyond. Because, not only did they immediately (and correctly) identify the problem, they then contacted the manufacturer directly to try to get a replacement part. Then, when the manufacturer rather fell on their own face and failed to get the part to us (it should have been overnighted but actually took 5 days to get to us) not only did they call and harass them every day, but they also showed up, on Saturday afternoon, without an appointment, as soon as the clip showed up, just to get the system working. In the mean time, they advocated for us (as their customer) to such an extent that the manufacturer promised to pay for the several days of hotel fees we incurred (so that we could have a shower while we waited for the missing part) AS WELL AS refund some of the fees of the plumber. Once the water heater was initially functional, it's also important to note that they came back - twice - to finish the install (the recirculation line and the water conditioner were waiting on the heater to be functional). This process took about a month to complete, and after all was said and done, the amount we paid was the amount on the original quote! I was quite honestly stunned because the amount of time and labor that was required to finish the job was far, far higher than anyone would reasonably expect a contractor to agree to waive, and that doesn't even take into account a full week of directly harassing the manufacturer to get the parts we needed. So, to sum it all up, I cannot recommend Pawlak plumbing enough, because they went way past above & beyond to do the job right, and still kept to their word on the quote.   They are excellent, I have been using them for my plumbing work for the last 10 years. They have installed a gas water heater along with a chimney line preventing of the gas lighter heater and Changed filter on whole house filter and reverse osmosis filter and installed new faucet on basement sink.   Our electric hot water heater tripped the circuit breaker in the electrical panel and we didn't have any hot water the next morning. I called McKean that morning at approximately 10:30 A.M. I explained what happened and that I took the panels off and saw that one of the wires connected to the bottom element was burned. At first they said they wouldn't be able to come until the next day at 1pm but they called back a little later and said that they had a cancellation and could come around 1pm that same day. The technician called a few minutes later and said that he could be there earlier than 1pm. He arrived at noon and finished the job in one hour.   Walt was at my door a couple hours after I called. On time and responsive. He reviewed the problem, suggested a solution, documented exactly what work would be performed including labor and materials. I agreed to the estimate and the work was completed quickly and correctly. He also tighten the sink drain connection which was not part of the estimate to ensure the system was water tight at no additional charge.. Great experience.   From the get go, Mandy was very responsive as I was initially calling about a leaky tub. She was able to get Brett out to the site within 3 days. In addition to the leaky tub, we had cracked floor tiles, bad walls and overall an outdated main floor bathroom. After discussing everything with Brett it made sense to go ahead and re-do the entire bathroom. Brett was up front and honest about costs from the start and had great recommendations for an electrician (Bobby Hudson) and a tile/remodel contractor (DW Contracting). I subbed out the work that did not involve plumbing and Brett was always responsive in getting himself or his two guys out in the time windows that worked best for me. In addition to the main floor bathroom we had a basement bathroom w/ shower that had improper drains and pipes underneath. Brett and crew dug up the cement and replaced the drain and piping to allow a properly draining shower and sink for the first time since we owned the house.
