They handled everything from clearing out everything in the house to dealing with asbestos found in some basement pipes to reconstructing the rooms I worked primarily with Kasey who was always available for my calls and was extremely patient with several changes I made But everyone that worked with them was professional, kind and hardworking The office staff walked me through the insurance maze and handled most of it for me I HIGHLY recommend John Grace and would use them again in a heartbeat

The only problem we experienced was that because they had so many jobs lined up for ceiling repairs because of the hard winter and recent rains, they weren't able to get started on our work for more than a month after our initial contact and we got their estimate. They were very good at their work including preparation of the work area before sanding the plaster and painting, and clean-up after the work was done. Actually I think they found more cracks than I thought and just included them right in with the rest of the job. That also required a bit more painting. Their work was superb

He did a fabulous job creating a one of a kind ceiling in the living room that fits perfectly with our 1950s architecture. He repaired the wall that had been previously patched where a doorway had once been. The kitchen ceiling looks brand new. He covered several cracks and holes that were previously not well patched. We will definitely use him again. I already have the next project picked out

Dilin did a great job. Very conscientious and taped off all the area doorway so that the plaster dust didn't go into the res of the house - along with all of my wood floors. He showed up while I was at work and did all of the work and was finished before I returned home. The entire project took 4 days (working 1/2 days, because the plaster had to dry). The ceiling looks brand new and the area by the fireplace looks as if it was never damage and matches the other side perfectly. He also allowed my dog to stay on site while he was doing the work so I didn't have to board him at a kennel - that save me money. I have another project for him to work on but will have to wait until next summer. I would highly recommend this company for any type of plastering, painting and home improvements

Our first experience with Dave Speese and his crew was in late summer 2013. They painted the exterior of our house, a Tudor-style structure with a variety of surfaces and a lot of trim. It had not been painted in about a dozen years and was in rough shape in many areas. We were very impressed by how thorough and meticulous Dave's crew was in prepping everything properly. They carefully powerwashed all of the siding, trim, and doors (the service doors as well as the garage doors) and expertly replaced all damaged wood and stucco board before beginning to paint. They worked steadily over the course of a week or so, putting in full days and cleaning up neatly at the end of each workday. We were so pleased with the results on the outside of our house that we soon hired Dave to do some interior work on our master bedroom and another bedroom and bath. That was followed in 2014 by our kitchen and dinette. These jobs involved removing lots of old wallpaper that had been applied incorrectly and therefore did not come off easily. The task was an extremely tedious and challenging one, but Dave's crew did a wonderful job of skillfully scraping off every square inch of old wallpaper and paste and then skim-coating the walls to make them suitable for painting. We look at them now and can't believe the transformation--they are so smooth that no one would ever know they had once been wallpapered. In 2015 we hired Speese Painting to paint our master bathroom. This again involved working on walls that had once been wallpapered; some had already been patched and re-drywalled following a remodeling project. We had also replaced some windows in the room, and the new frames and casings were all bare wood and intricately layered. The job was time-consuming and very detailed, and once again Dave's crew did a spectacular job, especially with the window trim. It turned out beautifully--much better-looking than the stained wood we had been considering. For both the exterior and interior work, Dave's crew (including John, Brandon, Tim, James, and Teddy) are the nicest and most professional gentlemen we have ever dealt with in the twenty-five years we have lived in our home. Dave Speese has ensured that they adhere to very high standards in all they do. They are always courteous and respectful. They are very punctual or, if they are experiencing a delay of some kind, they let you know as soon as possible and give you an idea of when they expect to arrive. They are strongly committed to making the job go as quickly and as neatly as possible to minimize disruptions to your daily life. Also striking is the sense of personal pride they take in the work they do--it's easy to tell that not only do they want their customer to be satisfied, they want to be pleased with the results as well. As far as we're concerned, Speese Painting epitomizes the old adage, "You get what you pay for." You will probably spend a few dollars more, but the entire painting experience from beginning to end is well worth the investment. We would hire Speese Painting again without hesitation

better then I could have imagined. I will definitely keep Jim in mind if I need plaster repaired in the future. Jim did a very very good job. Jim had a few personal issues that came up during the job which caused the job to get done 1-2 weeks later then the initial estimated completion date. He did work late into the night to get the job done in then end. In the end Jim did a great job and I look forward to working with him If I have future plaster work that I need done. Overall Jim had great customer service and was able to beat the price of the competition by $1,000 dollars

"The company responding QUICKLY to my call for a painter, and gave me a quote almost immediately. They were super accommodating even though I needed my painting done that very next Monday. The owner was friendly on the phone, and set up for the job was effortless.
For the work, it was perfect. They got exactly the right colors, and even went to a different store to get exactly the color we wanted for our daughter's bedroom, even though it wasn't the paint retailer they usually use. It was four rooms in one day, and there wasn't a drip in sight. Even the edges were crisp and clean. We had a MINOR touch up that we noticed during our inspection, and the woman there addressed it immediately.

"It took a little longer to do the job. They were scheduled to start on a Thursday. I took the morning off to meet up with them. Thy showed up two hours late, but did call to say they would be late. They didn't end up starting until Friday. I came home that Friday after work to find they had smoked in my upstairs. They also left an empty cup with their cigarette butts in it for me to find.
I asked them the next day to not smoke in the house. They obliged, but proceeded to use my backyard as their ashtray. Their were cigarette butts littered all over the yard.
Another issue I had with them was with the foul language. I haven't heard that much swearing since I watched Eddie Murphy's "Delirious."
The overall work was decent. However, their ability to clean up after themselves was pathetic. They left my deck and kitchen floor with a nasty white film. As far as cleaning up upstairs, I provided a shop vac and it was rarely used. There's still drywall dust all over my wood stairs.
As it sits, I would shop around in hopes to find a more professional company. However, if I had to, I'd use them again in a pinch. I just wouldn't have as high of expectations.
"All the projects went well--one project seemed not to go so well, but it turns out it was not their mistake. It was the poor paint job that I got from another contractor in the area who failed to properly prime the new plaster coating that Master Plaster had done. Long story--suffice to say it was not their mistake but they fixed it nevertheless at no cost.
