"Hire Welkin for your home renovation, you won’t regret it! Bottom line: Radu and his guys will care for your home like it was their own home. Their prices are fair, the work is quality, they tidy up at the end of the day, they are always on time, and they stayed on schedule even after some unexpected hang ups during the renovation. Here’s some background on our reno: My mother moved into a new home. To help my mother with her new home, I used the home inspection report to prioritize what we needed to do to fix the home and make it functional for my elderly mom. We suspected water damage in the basement due to the bubbling in the dry wall. We hired a professional mold removal service that ripped out the affected drywall and affected cheap floor tile. The mold removers suspected asbestos tile underneath the cheap laminate tile that was removed. We got it tested and they were right, we had to hire a professional asbestos removal service. Then came Welkin to do the beautifying of my mom’s home. Radu from Welkin gave us a quote on quite a few things: fixing the foundational cracks in the wall that allowed a small drip of water to come through, replacing dry wall, replacing the few rotted wood behind the walls, installing new flooring in the basement and office, painting the walls, replacement of our old stubborn sliding glass door, and a complete rehab of the main second floor bathroom with an addition of a laundry chute. I have never done a renovation like this before so I had a lot to learn along the way. Radu was extremely patient and answered all my questions with careful attention and supportive feedback. When we were not sure how to approach a particular aspect of the renovation, like how to frame the bathroom window that was located in the shower with tile, he helped solve the problem with a cost effect way that looked beautiful. He works practically and cost effectively without sacrificing design. My mom loves her renovated bathroom, basement, and office. Everything looks fresh, clean, and put together. I would work with Welkin in a heartbeat and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, smart, trustworthy contractor."

"Do not use them! They asked for more than 50% down to purchase materials and they left me with an unseasoned contractor when I was supposed to get a carpenter. They damaged my floors and hardwood stairs and left me with a hazardous staircase that was a finished and the first level not even started. I’ve requested money back and they blocked my phone number and I cannot reach anybody I’m going to file a claim to the Better Business Bureau for the serious situation that they left me in without even a reimbursement of payment. I’m an honest consumer warning anyone considering not to use them. Also the owner did not pay his employee for any labor of the job and the other 5 star posts are from the employees themselves. Do not trust"
