  • Bennett Contracting Inc
My experience with them was very good, and I was very happy with them. Their prices might be a little bit high. When they put the door in, the two guys that came were very conscientious. They did nice work and cleaned up after themselves. I did not have any problem with them, and I was very pleased. I would have them do more work for me except that their prices are a little high. I would have to probably check around before I call them, but they would definitely be my first choice. I didn't have any problem with them

I think the details are in the paragraph above. BUT, I will say that the battle of removing screens and storm windows with which I have been dealing for over 6 years every change of season seems to be over. What a relief having these new windows will be.

My request for an estimate was accomplished in one day since my stairs have given way with rotted wood steps falling and pulling away from the house making the stairs unsafe. Steve the estimator came and assessed the damage and recognized how in the original construction there was too much space between the original steps and an absent top landing as you came out of the sunroom screenod door making it necessary to step over the high door/screen tracks to the step below. He talked about how to remedy the problem and what code requirements existed. He explained Trex Product and the 25 year warrenties and certified status of the firm to do installation of the product. We decided to have the work done ASAP and signed the contract that day. Steve was on the phone to see if materials were available and arranged for delivery before he left the house. Six days later I met Sean one, of the highly skilled craftsman that was to work on the project. He viewed the failed stairs and surrounding area, checked out electrical acess and looked at how to remedy some of the problems we had encountered in original constuction. He told me of the delivery to come later in the day and said he would be there with his partner, Eric the next morning at 8am. Sean and Eric were prompt, checked out supplies and started to measure and calculate what best to do. I listened to them under my kitchen window measure and calculate and lay down their plan. There is a lot to consider in the initial layout, math calculations and years of valuable experience. It was easy to realize these workers knew what they were doing. When they took the old stairs and rails down I had forgotten I had probably, 50 pots all sizes and garden items stored under the sunroom right where they had to work to install the new steps and rails. They helped me move all of that out from under the sunroom with good humor. They worked all day no breaks and got the stairs 90%done in one day. It looks excellent and feels solid. They built thge first step, as a small landing, which has made the stair exit to the outside safe. The distance between the steps has been corrected. Eric came back on Mon. to put the lattice work on the sides. I was instructed to wait 6 months to paint the pressure treated wood so it can cure. I could not be more pleased with Bennetts constuction work and the process they use in interacting with clients

I was in dire need of a contractor to install a rain diverter over my balcony. I live in a condo community and the rain diverter had to match the others. Steve, the estimator, came out earlier than scheduled and called me within a week to schedule the work day. Sean, Larry and another gentleman with Bennett were highly professional, efficient and neat in their work and in were a delight to have in my home. I hope to have the balcony screened in next year and I will be hiring Bennett to do the work. I highly recommend Bennett Contracting to home owners that want quality work done in their homes

We are absolutely delighted with the results of our recent renovation. We went from 40 year old aluminum siding to beautiful vinyl siding and new window trim. Don and his team were on time, courteous and professional and receptive to any small requests we made. The left our home each day clean and finished within the promised time. We highly recommend DF Construction to anyone especially for the unique way the applied the window trim. We've had nothing but compliments from our family, friends and neighbors

Communications were clear and responsiveness was prompt throughout. Windows were ordered in advance. On the agreed date, the workmen showed up and efficiently and meticulously did the required work, as agreed. Great pains were taken to make the room as air tight as possible. All rotted wood was removed and replaced and new windows were installed. I have worked with many contractors over the years and these guys are top notch! They take pride in their work and their reputation. You can't go wrong with Father and Son Home Improvement

Very professional. Came when he said he would and was ready to work. Mark bought all of the materials needed and I reimbursed him. This saved me time and ensured that the right components were bought. Very easy to do business with.

  • Capital Valley Glass
At the last minute we contacted Capital Valley Glass about replacing some screens. They were very accommodating. We dropped them off on our way to work and they were ready that afternoon. What great service.

I've used him several times. There was a period where he was in and out all the time as many things needed fixing. We kept him busy for a while. I thought he was very good and that's why I kept bringing him back. He was reasonable and the quality of the work was good. If there was a problem or something and if something was not working he would be very ingenious in figuring out how to get something to make it work. He is also very hard-working. I mean he comes in and he is like bang zoom from the time he is here until the time he leaves. It takes a while to get him but once you got him on the job then he is very responsive. The reason he is hard to get or to get him to come originally is because he is fairly popular which says something. All contractors are a bit off but he wasn't seriously off

  • Capital District Contractors & Decks Inc
Prior to contracting with Dave I spoke with several previous clients. EVERYONE was TOTALLY PLEASED with their final results.....even the two clients who had difficulties during their construction process. My project required a variance and Dave referred me to a draftsman who drew the plans and guided me through this process without one delay or problem. My initial plan was to do a screened porch. After framing was complete I decide that I wanted to a sunroom instead. Dave was very accommodating and adapted my plans to create a beautiful sunroom. Throughout the process he answered all my questions and addressed every one of my concerns. Follow up phone calls were typically returned the same day. The project manager was on site almost daily checking to make sure things were going well and also clarified all of my questions/concerns. His crews were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I was also pleased with the quality of his subcontractors who always came on the day and time that Dave said they would. During construction materials were always neat and there was rarely any debris left at the end of the day. It is obvious that Dave cares about his clients. He and his team are dedicated to reaching their goal of having clients thrilled with the quality and look of their completed project
