Deane began work in the construction and remodeling business in 1991. After 30 years in the home remodeling, maintenance, and repair fields, he began writing in 2021, mostly from experience. Writing and researching everything home-related from how-tos to financing solutions for multiple publications, including Angi, Forbes Home, Trusted Company Reviews, U.S. News and World Report, Better Homes and Gardens, Small Spaces Great Life, and several others.
