THE DRIVER WAS VERY NICE. HE MANEUVERED THE 6 WHEEL DUMP TRUCK EXPERTLY AND DUMPED THE SOIL IN THE EXACT SPOT I DESIGNATED.

CHARLES O'MALLEY TOPSOIL
I kept seeing their truck as I was driving down 202 and we had just had a walkway poured in our front yard, and needed lots of dirt to put in the planting beds and in front to the walkway to fill it in. I called them and they were able to deliver the top soil within 2-3 days. We did sign a disclaimer because the trucks were very heavy. They did not damage our driveway though. They did exactly what they said they'd do- they dumped 3 huge mounds of top soil in our front lawn. We did the rest of the work. The soil itself was fine there were many small pebbles in it but as we were just digging in it this weekend, it looked good and rich.

I HAVE HAD SEVERAL TRUCKLOADS OF TOPSOIL, MUSHROOM COMPOST, AND FILL DIRT DELIVERED TO MY PROPERTY OVER THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS. THE DRIVERS AND FOLKS WHO ANSWER THE PHONE ARE ALWAYS COURTEOUS. THEY DROP THE SOIL, MULCH, ETC. EXACTLY WHERE I ASK AND ALWAYS HAVE MET MY NARROW DELIVERY TIME WINDOWS.

Dan promptly came to assess my needs and give me an estimate. Several days later two workers came to do the work. I have heavy clay soil and it was hard work to shovel out the area for the dry well. The gutter drainpipe was extended into the dry well and the sump pump pipe was also extended into the dry well. Topsoil was placed over the trench holding the extensions and stone was placed into the dry well which was then topped off with dirt. Topsoil was graded at the back and side of the house so water would drain away from the foundation. All of the soil was then tamped down. During the first rainfall the sump pump rarely kicked in which was a nice change. The only problem was that the soil over the dry well settled between the stones and left three deep holes. Fortunately I had more soil and filled in the holes and tamped down the soil. I called Dan and he said he would come out if I needed him to fix anything but I had already taken care of it. Called him a week later for an estimate on the cost of removing some bushes I had cut down along with cutting down some more of the bushes. He came the same day and finished cutting down the remainder of the bushes and said there was no cost because the original job he did needed some minor fixing. I was extremely pleased both with the job done and the attitude of Dan and his workers. They were all very pleasant and professional.

The six yards were delivered in the morning and dropped squarely in the middle of my driveway as I asked. Delivery guy was friendly, skilled and fast. Our relationship lasted less than five minutes. The topsoil was well-screened, very clean, and easy to shovel, tote, and rake smooth. I looked/listened as I shoveled the soil into the barrow but did not find/hear a single stone. Nary a pebble in many, many barrows. There were strands of vegetative matter, but I consider that a plus, not a concern. I'd pay 25$ a yard for this stuff, and figure I got a great deal! By volume, it is less expensive than the bagged topsoil sold in garden centers and home supply stores, and noticeably better quality, too.

I can not comment on the product quality because I never placed an order. I will comment on the totally unprofessional and unhinged behavior of the person/people answering the phone. I called on 4/30/20 at 4:49pm to inquire about having 2 yards of soil delivered on 5/2. I spoke with a man (no identification) who told me that he would take my number and call me back tomorrow. I gave him my name and number and hung up the phone. I received a call this morning (5/1/20) at 6:52 am from a female as a follow up. She quoted me 112-116$ for two yards of soil. I asked about what time I can expect the soil to be delivered on 5/2. She told me that it could be any time between 7-1pm. She then started to explain in detail how they process the deliveries at their site, which was ok but too much information. I then asked specifically what type of soil I was being quoted, at which point she told me that she could not tell me because I never told her what it was being used for. I said some was for a flower bed and some would be used for my lawn. She stated that the quote was for screened topsoil because that was the best for my application. At this point I was concerned with the vague nature of her responses and stated that I would have to call her back to schedule the delivery as I thought the price was a bit high and wanted to explore other options. All of sudden a male voice came onto the phone unidentified and started yelling at me about how I don't know what I'm talking about and that I should call "Mr. Mulch", because they'll be sure to get it to me "by Thursday". I attempted to slow this guy down and he then stated "Aren't you the guy who called me after 5 yesterday?" I told him I called just before 5, he told me I was lying. He then asked me what I do for a living. I said "I guess you don't want my business." He told me that he did not need my business, that he had more business than he knows what to do with, and hung up the phone. I am dumbfounded at this behavior. I can't help but assume that the call at 6:52am was punitive for some kind of perceived slight of calling his business after 5pm, even though I clearly did not. It is not acceptable to call a private residence at that time without prior discussion. This person isn't right in the head, and a search of other online reviews bears out a pattern of this type of behavior. This business should be avoided at all costs. I can only imagine what type of response a customer would receive if there was a problem with their delivery. I am thankful that I never got to that point.

I called to have mulch and topsoil delivered. Person to answer the phone was very helpful and informative. The day of delivery, the driver called me. I had just stepped away from my phone and it went to voicemail. The message said the driver was turning around since I wasn't answering my phone and he would be back to deliver when somebody was at the house to pay him. I found this to be incredibly rude as I had told them when I placed the order that I work from home and was very flexible on the delivery time. I called the place right back and thay said they would relay to the driver to turn around. The delivery itself went fine, the person placed it right where I asked and the quality looks good, so the only downside was the weird phone call and quot;quirk.and quot;

Could not be happier with project. Exceeded expectations, priced below what I expected. Owner took the time to meet me at nursery to go over all recommended plantings and adjusted to my preference. Everything on time, followed up and did a terrific job ! One of a few home improvement projects which went perfectly, I am now looking for other projects I can use them for !!

We purchased 6 yards of premium topsoil/mushroom soil mix, supposed to be the best mix for gardens and new lawns, but that is NOT what was delivered. Victory Gardens delivered quickly - in the pouring rain and 4 hours before they said they would be there - and dumped what turned out to be a very wet pile of solid clay with lumps of manure (not mixed together) on my driveway. After waiting a week to let the pile dry out, and after spending hours trying to spread it on the lawn, we realized it was completely unusable - NOT TOPSOIL - and called to complain. The red clay has the consistency of playdough and dries into hard concrete-like chunks. The black manure dumped in with it doesn't make it topsoil, it just makes it smell bad. Terrible stuff. They promptly sent our money back but then we needed the huge pile removed. Although the office manager was friendly and apologetic on the phone, they were unresponsive about coming and picking up the trash pile they left us. After weeks of phone calls to them, they finally sent a third-party landscaper out with a truck to pick it up. He did remove it (after it sat on our driveway for almost a month) but apparently Primex lied to him, told him it was good topsoil and that I had over-ordered and didn't need all of it. He got there and took one look at it and said "this is even worse than the last pile they tried to ***** on us. We'll need to pay someone to dispose of this." So I paid him in cash to remove the pile that Victory Gardens had dumped on us. It was a freaking nightmare experience, set us back about a month, and their shoddy business practice ended up costing us time and money. Buyer beware. I wish I had bought topsoil from my local garden center Primex instead.

Jason was extremely professional and diligent in ensuring all of the work was done to specifications. Because it was going to rain over the next few days, he provided me a very competitive bid and suggested to begin the work that day. When he came over, it was obvious that he knew what he was doing and that he was very customer oriented, so I accepted his bid and gave him the okay to begin the work. He was able to get the men, compressor and the fill dirt/top soil that day as well as complete the work prior to sunset. It actually briefly downpoured on him and he still was able to complete the work. The sinkholes were completely filled and the topsoil, grass seed and hay was carefully placed on where the sink holes were. The swing set and basketball hoop were completely removed without any remnants of either remaining. He did an excellent job expeditiously and at a reasonable price!

Pierce L Shallis Landscaping & Design
This was a fairly extensive project. My backyard was nothing but weeds and rocks and dirt, in pits and valleys. I wanted a green lawn, and different levels, separated by a wall. I picked Pierce because he was well reviewed, and he didn’t try to upsell me. “You don’t need a retaining wall” he said, just stairs. When I was considering mulch rather than seed he said a similar thing “I don’t even think mulch will work with all the thistle you have.” I found Pierce to be very knowledgeable in addressing issues that came up throughout the project, and very efficient. I checked him on the cost of each phase of the project, and I always found his number reasonable. He is a bit of a perfectionist - he wants things done the right way. But the result has been worth it. I now have a beautiful lawn and steps where before there was nothing. He has even followed up with me several times since to check on how the lawn is progressing. I am very satisfied.

Cedar Hardscaping LLC
Cedar Hardscapes kills it everytime. This is the second time they've installed a pavers for us. Both times were great experiences from beginning to end. Alphonso worked closely with us on both occasions to ensure he understood what we wanted done. The work always started and completed on time and team was diligent and professional. They cleaned the area after completion and even leveled the top soil they had to excavate for the pavers. The completed product is amazing. The first pavers path was done over a year ago and we have soft land, but the pavers still looks as level as the day it was installed. The price is slightly above other quotes we received but the quality more than makes up for it. Awesome work by a great company.

This is the 2nd time we have used Greenstone and they are great. Mark came out quickly and provided the estimate on the spot and ordered over 100 flowers and plants on our behalf. Joe and his crew are very professional, did a great job, and are very easy to work with from transplants and change orders on the fly. They even uncovered some drainage issues and walked me through best options for the repair. The Henry cobblestone cuts were great with some difficult angles. The yard looks absolutely great and we'll use them a 3rd time if anything comes up. Before and after pictures attached.

Paul came over and walked around our property with me. He identified a number of issues that would need to be addressed and offered options on how to address - including general direction on how much the different options would cost. Because the yard was very uneven and we had done some construction, it wasn't clear how much top soil would be needed. Paul did a lot of work to estimate and then provided a not to exceed estimate. As the work was done, Paul was on site every day except one day that it was too muddy to work. The job took about 2.5 weeks. While doing the work, Paul reviewed where he was and any difficulties he had encountered along the way. Where there were issues, Paul always had solutions and he was able to keep it all within his original bid price. There was one area where his equipment tore up some roots on a large tree that I had warned him about, but other than that, everything was done to my satisfaction and we are very happy with the work done. I liked Paul's communication style and feel that he is very trustworthy. I highly recommend him - my neighbor is getting a quote from him now.

Brian's crew filled the backyard with 20+ cubic yards of topsoil, leveled it, laid sod in about 6 hours. Then it began to rain and they continued on. They installed additional sod where the machinery sank to cover their tracks and reinstalled the portion of the fence that they had initially removed seamlessly.
