Masters Of The Lawn
Jorge came out, did the estimate. He was not sure of schedule, but showed up several hours later. He and his team did an excellent job. The work was meticulous, and we were most appreciative of the cleanliness and removal of leaves and grass cuttings. Definitely worth the several day wait for us. (I did get an email about 48 hours that they were coming out).

From the estimate to the final departure, the team was professional, thorough and completed all tasks waaaay above and beyond what I expected. And I expected a LOT! In thirty years of doing my own gardening/landscaping tasks it took a leap of faith to hand the reins over to strangers. I'm so glad that I did. The yard looks fantastic and for the first time in five years I avoided a trip to the dermatologist for a poison ivy treatment. Since I had no point of reference at first the price felt high (other estimates with fewer options were half the price) - but given the results and the terrific work ethic of Hall's team, it was definitely worth the price.

D & D Lawn Service Inc
With so many landscapers in this area I definitely do not recommend hiring this company. I hired D & D Lawn Service to primarily plant new bushes and reseed new grass. The owner of the company, Donald Nordgren, provided me the quote. I was anxious to get the grass planted since I had mistakenly put grass killer on the lawn the summer before and would like to get my house ready to sell. I got two other quotes, and even though D&D came in higher, I was anxious to get the work done as it was the middle of April and wanted to give the grass time to grow before it got hot. One of the contractors that I received a quote from advised against planting till the fall since the weedkiller may still create some issues with new grass. but I was anxious I went with D&D since Mr Nordgren said it would not be an issue. When they provided the service, they removed an Azalea tree that I did not want removed and entirely trimmed back vines that I specifically asked not to do. It was not a big deal but I did send a note saying that they should review the requirements with customer since I worked from home to make sure that I was available if anything came up. I also voiced my concern about ;leaving dead grass and soil from the residue of the weed/grass killer that was applied the year before. I also asked that they reseed areas that did not come up as I thought it was a reasonabel request given the amount of money I spent. He agreed, but after repeated requests to see if they would do it, it took until June to reseed. None of the reseeding worked, perhaps due to the heat or being late in the season. The grass came up OK initially, but then has consequently died in many areas. I wrote him a note to let him know. and that I thought it may have been due to the dead grass and soil that was not removed.. just based on what the other landscaper told me. He proceeded to leave me an "unprofessional" voicemail where he blamed saying I cut the grass too short. I in fact cut the grass at a high setting but with all the rain the grass did grow longer as I could not cut wet grass. I never did get any advise or guidance on to care for the lawn 30 days, 60 days, 90 days after it was planted.. just bill and water alot. Bottom line is I don't know why the grass died.. neither did he.. but no excuse to act unprofessionally and to provide poor customer service. You can definitely do better than this company.. a little overpriced, average results, and poor customer service.

Absolute Tree Inc
We knew tree removal would be expensive and contacted Ashley Davis at Absolute Tree Inc. for a quote. He came to our house in person and walked through the yard with us to give his advice along with a preliminary price quote. After he left he had emailed a detailed quote in writing along with supporting documentation of certification and insurance within 30 minutes of leaving our home! There was nothing to haggle over. For the amount of work we wanted done, including stump grinding with heavy machinery- the price was completely fair. The company has a great reputation so don't expect to have the work done the next day due to their popularity....but its not a terrible wait for a quality job done well. Two crews were sent to our house to do the job. When I returned home from work at the end of the day I couldn't even tell that they had needed to run over the front yard in order to access the trees in the back. They even cleaned up the messy branches my husband had left around the yard from his attempt at tree clean up! What seemed like a daunting project to us was made easy and painless thanks to Absolute Tree Inc. When we need tree work done again, there will be no need to shop around, read reviews and price things out with anyone else. Absolute Tree Inc. will be our "go to" company for tree work and we will happily recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

Weiler's Lawn & Landscape Inc
Overall my experience was good. I had a very awkwardly planned and overgrown front yard. I was looking for a transformation, hoping for the company to basically rip everything out and put everything back again in a way that made sense. I didn't get that and was a little disappointed that the change wasn't as dramatic as I was thinking it would be, but they did a great job trimming everything back and cleaning up overall.

The Davey Tree Expert Company
We called several companies to remove some the7 foot thorny hedges around our back yard as well as grind down an old stump in the front yard of our new home. From our initial appointment with Steve, they were always punctual and professional. What made Davey such a good choice was their flexibility. We did not want the shrubs removed too soon before the fence was installed and that needed permitting and custom manufacturing. Once we were ready, Davey worked with our schedule to minimize the impact for us and the neighbors. Prompt, efficient and courteous.

Looking Sharpe Landscapes LLC
Danny came to my home, gave me an estimate and told me when they could do the work. They arrived as promised and did an excellent job. My front yard has several bushes and a lot of ivy that had gotten completely overgrown. They did a great job of trimming the bushes, removing the ivy, and mulching the area. In the back yard there are more bushes and a couple of small trees that they trimmed. They also added mulch to the back area. Excellent work. I will definitely use them in the future. Great work. Very reasonable price.

I left several messages before I actually got to have a conversation with the owner. Finally, I was able to schedule an appointment for him to come out & discuss my project. He was on time for the appointment & we discussed everything that I wanted done. He took as much time as was needed to discuss the project, there was no rush. Also he made suggestions, which were very helpful, to my plans. Before he left, a start date was set for my project. He asked me to make necessary revisions, to my project, based on our meeting & email the revisions to him. The crew came out on the date agreed upon. There were 2 crew workers & their boss. The 2 crew members worked from 8:30 a.m. to approx. 4:00 p.m. or 7.5 hours each. And the boss (who also helped) was there from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or 5.5 hours, which included lunch. Also I was charged $15 for misc. supplies. They removed 2 shrubs from one of the flower beds. They weeded & prepared the soil in both flower beds so that plants could be planted. I assisted them with where I wanted the different flowers planted. After planting 11 plants, they laid the weed barriers. They mulched both flowers beds, plus 1 other plant & 2 trees. They also trimmed 2 existing evergreens. They washed & re-laid the brick edging around the flower beds. Then, they thoroughly watered new plants. They loaded all trash on their truck & took it with them. The mulch & other supplies were kept in my basement & some of the bags were leaking. They made sure the basement floor was cleaned up of all spilled supplies; nothing was left for me to clean up. The 2 crew members had a very good attitude. When they were in their truck & ready to leave, I felt that 2 of the trees really needed more mulch around them. They got out of their truck & opened another bag & put more mulch around the trees. I wanted to be pleased with the job & not have to say later "I wish I had asked them to use more mulch." So, I just had it done while they were still here. They worked very well as a team. They did a very good job. I am very pleased. I have to say, "A Job Very Well Done."

From the beginning, Abel was very responsive, polite, and helpful. He had good suggestions for what to do to make my neglected and sad-looking yard better. His estimate of time was very good. The total price was excellent - half of some other quotes I'd gotten. Initial work was delayed because of snow and rain (totally reasonable), and he was great about keeping in touch and communicating the plan. When the work did start, I made sure to be there soon after they arrived to go over specifics with the crew. Abel was not present during most of the work, which turned out to be a problem. I had been concerned from the beginning about my perennials being removed by accident since it is early spring and they are just emerging, so I took one of the crew members around my entire property and pointed out the 25 or 30 perennials that I was worried about. I speak Spanish and made myself clear about NOT removing the plants that were supposed to be there. So I was quite disappointed and upset to come home after the work was complete to find a significant number of perennials ripped up and gone. Some of these were new from last year and some I had been tending to for 15 years. I felt really bad, and made that clear to the crew and later to Abel when he came. Abel was very apologetic, and upset himself. Apparently it was one member of the crew who either didn't care or didn't understand. He gave me a small discount ($75 on a $1600 bill) which I appreciated as a gesture, and offered to replace the plants, but I don't even know myself all that was gone - half of them I don't know the name of. I told him I wanted to pick the plants out. Anyway, the frustrating part for me is that probably only 30-40% of perennials that I plant turn out to live multiple years, and these were the survivors!! These were the ones I had nourished through hot summers, etc. So that is why I gave him a C for work I was otherwise satisfied with. He uses cheap labor, which keeps costs down for everyone, but I paid for it in plant loss. I will continue to use him - we have agreed on a monthly maintenance plan - in part because I believe he will work hard to overcome this one significant mistake. He seems like a good businessman who needs to make sure he doesn't lose control of the quality of the work performed in his name. I hope he learns from this.

TOTAL CARE LANDSCAPING & DESIGN
Amazing company, excellent job! We were preparing our house for sale, and were referred to Total Care by our handyman. We were under a very tight deadline. From Daniela in the office to Enselmo and his crews, Total Care went out of their way to meet our needs and accommodate our schedule. The work was top-notch, all the staff was friendly and helpful, and they are a company that cares greatly about their work and about impressing their customers.

Rodriguez Landscaping Services
I had bought a deal, and when they came out they said it would require additional hours. I agreed but watched them kind of dilly-dallying around, then they cut back one shrub badly that I hadn't wanted them to touch. It's been a long time so the details are sketchy, but I"m tired of AL nagging me to put up a review so here it is. My dollar and date estimates are likely wrong.

WOODLAWN TREE SERVICE
While we had to wait a while because they are busy and the weather has played havoc with their schedule it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT, They arrived on schedule and completed all of the agreed to work promptly and left the area exceptionally neat. The results look even better than what was envisioned when I executed the contract. Work involved cleaning out part of a large tree and trimming/shaping both large and small bushes.

E T General Contractor INC
This is the second time we have hired ET Landscaping. Julio personally provides estimates and makes sure his crew knows just what to do. His team removed several dead limbs off some very tall trees, shaped the trees and mulched around the bases. We also had him trim all the shrubs. The work is excellent and we plan on using this company again.
