Fast forward three years later when we plan on doing some work to our house. County tells us our plat is incomplete as it does not have house on it. Tried contacting this company 3 times in span of one week to get original work updated. No reply. Highly unprofessional. If you can't handle basic administrative tasks like calling people back in a prompt manner, you should not be in business. Also, company never explained why the original work was incomplete. Found another surveyor at a reasonable rate who agreed to do job in quick time. Update 3/2014 It is funny how some people stretch the truth and others flat out lie. As we stated in the original review, the surveyor never even responded to 3 calls. Therefore, we never requested any discount, or as he calls it, 'gratis', as we never spoke to anyone there. If people make mistakes, I can deal with that. If people are liars, I can't. Caveat emptor (buyer beware)

NOVA Surveys saved the day! Found out from our contractor six calendar days before renovations were to begin that he needed a plat to obtain the necessary building permits. Unfortunately, the only one that we had was extremely dated, and clearly marked as not to be used to obtain a permit. Mad scramble to find a surveyor who could turn around a survey and plat quickly so as not to delay the renovation and subsequent listing for sale of our property. Tom responded to my email request for a quote within 5 hours of my initial email, and had a surveyor on the property the next day. Two days later, I had a pdf of a new plat in hand to share with our contractor. It went spectacularly well. I am pretty sure I received a call back within a hour and they offered to come out virtually the next business day. We then had days of torrential rain (you can't survey in the rain). I think they kept in ocntact with us every day and it seemed to me that they felt worse about the weather than we did (and obviously there is nothing they could do, but when the rain stopped they were here and did the job.
