Reviews of Electrical Contracting Companies
Huff Construction, Inc.
Huff Construction is awesome! David Huff understands that he is disrupting your life and does his best to mitigate the interruption. His contractors were courteous, clean and respectful. He said he would have the kitchen functional in 4 weeks and he beat that by 4 days! He sets a schedule and works with his contractors to meet his schedule. I don't think there was a time we were delayed because a contractor didn't show up. We believe he must treat his contractors well or they would not be as great as they were and on time. We would use Huff Construction again without hesitation.

John Krause Construction
Everything was great. John Krause showed up to do my estimates the day after I called. He was right on time, took off his shoes when he came in the house and was very polite. His estimate was better than the other contractor that came out to look at the job. He is the only contractor that I recommend. I recommended John Krause construction to my neighbor for finishing a basement. They were also very happy with his work. John Krause Construction is the ONLY contractor that I will use. Skip the "Craigslist contractors" and use John Krause!!!

Michael Nash Design Build & Homes
Process started in the showroom in April. It took a couple of meetings to get the plans , select materials, etc. Demolition was scheduled for early July and started only 5 days later than original schedule (not bad considering most contractors). Finished in approximately 4 weeks including demolition and full rehab. Punch list took a bit longer only because we had to leave on vacation. Contractor only used full-time employees to do the work. No subs or temps. Workers including 16 year employee, 5 year employee, etc. Very pleased.

Elite Contractors Services Inc
I have never written a review before but feel compelled to do so on behalf of Elite Contractor Services. Last year, we decided to renovate our home from top to bottom. We took off the back of our house, lowered the concrete slab and rebuilt all three stories of our house. Elite Contractors made it all possible and our new house is stunning. Elite Contractors are professional, knowledgeable and skilled. Ken and Ana help guide you through the process from the beginning to end. They have a dedicated team of employees that have been with them for years and do very good work. They gave us a construction timeline, and aside from issues outside of their control. they delivered. They worked diligently. Our house, even while in the midst of all of the construction, was always clean and well maintained. Everyone on the Elite Contractors' team takes pride in their work and does really nice, clean work. During construction, inspectors needed to come through and many of them commented on the clean and solid work that was being done. We are simply thrilled with our new home and we have Elite Contractor Services to thank for that. Thank you Ken and Ana and the whole Elite Contractor Services team!

Lofft Construction Inc
I have been very pleased with the Lofft construction. The General Contractor was very responsive to my requests, provided good advice on the options I had, and closely monitored the project to deliver high quality job on time.

Mole Construction Inc
I am thrilled with the final result. The most critical things for me when working with a contractor are honesty, dedication to finishing the task, taking responsibility, and responsiveness to the clients wishes. Mole Construction and Manuel Parada was superior in all these categories. He listened carefully to my plans, provided a very detailed quote and gave me a very competitive bid. But, things happen, my building is over 100 years old, and discoveries are made. This is always a good test of the character of a person; how to they deal with the unexpected. Whether it was a surprise in the building or a foible of the client, Manuel dealt with in in an adult way. He always provided good advice on the best way to accomplish a wide variety of details. Change orders prices were always in line with the amount of effort needed. This may sound like a small issue, but I have dealt with a number of contractors and the change orders are frequently answered with high add-on costs and new delays. Manuel is a problem solver and has high personal standards. To summarize, I highly recommend Mole Construction. They are one of the top contractors I have ever used. Manuel Parada is honest, knowledgeable, skilled and a pleasure to work with.

We highly recommend Sarakinis Construction for any home project. Sarakinis Construction turned a very sad, trying and quite depressing situation to an amazing and unbelievable happy ending. Had it not been for Sarakinis Construction, my family and I would still be living a nightmare. We want to thank Sarakinis Construction for all of their help and their hard work and generosity in getting us into our beautiful dream home. Our experience with Sarakinis Construction was nothing but wonderful! They were extremely accommodating and willing to work with us and make suggestions on what would work best. Sarakinis Construction took on this very difficult project even after discovering that there would be many obstacles they would encounter-which were left by the previous contractor (Angie's Remodeling) whom deserted the project and walked away leaving us with a halfway finished project. Sarakinis Construction are a professional, reliable and honest contractor. They always went the extra mile and added their personal touch in everything. They were very clean and always picked up after each completed job. Our basement, first floor, second floor and the exterior of our home look amazing. The kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, bedrooms and patio/deck areas all came out incredible. We were always contacted and notified of any changes to our budget -we didn't have to worry about any extra or hidden costs. We can't thank Sarakinis Construction enough for what they did. If you are looking for a genuine hard working contractor to get the job done then Sarakinis Construction is the one!

Paradise Home Improvement
I hired Paradise Home Improvement around 11/2019 to construct and renovate a basement apartment in my home. I experienced numerous issues of poor workmanship. First, Mr. Safvani used flat paint in the entire apartment and promised to return to re-paint with semi-gloss. This never happened. The door frames of the basement apartment were misaligned; electric outlet left hanging from kitchen backsplash; and installed a defective bathtub. Moreover, Mr. Safvani had me buy an electric switch for fireplace; then claimed it was defective. I returned to manufacturer and received a replacement. Mr. Safvani was supposed to return and install this electrical switch; however, this did not occur. I had to hire an electrician, who claimed that this switch cannot be installed and that I should not have purchased the item. In May 2020, I had 2 Airbnb guests stay in my basement apartment and reported that the apartment would quickly fill with smoke after cooking and excess humidity due to lack of a bathroom exhaust fan. Subsequently, Mr. Safvani returned and wanted to charge me over $1,100 to install two exhaust fans. Moreover, Mr. Safvani did not install a bathroom sink faucet and promised to return $300, which I have never received, despite requesting reimbursement. Unfortunately, I have had to pay a real contractor to undertake the repairs that Mr. Safvani has unfortunately refused to take responsibility and seeking redress with the Montgomery County Consumer Protection Bureau. I highly recommend that people search the databases of the Better Business Bureau, Montgomery County Consumer Protection Bureau, and State Licensing Boards for a history of complaints prior to hiring any contractor. Hiring Mr. Safvani has cost me thousands of dollars in follow-up repairs by another legitimate contractor.

NVS Kitchen and Bath
We are very happy with the work. NVS worked closely with us in the design of the rooms. They took the time to understand what we wanted and what we liked. They referred us to several tile, appliance and granite dealers who they worked closely with. But we had options on which ones to go with. Upon signing the contract they brought in all the trades to ensure there were no surprises in the construction. We were given a construction calendar that tied payment to construction progress. They kept to the calendar and had a key employee on site all the time to oversee the tradesmen. All the work was top quality. They identified potential issues and fixed them before we had the opportunity to point them out. They were perfectionists. They consulted with us whenever there was a question. They cleaned up after themselves everyday and took precautions to protect floors and rooms not involved in the work. The house was livable during the construction. When the work was done, they brought in a maid service to remove the dust that had accumulated. There are less expensive contractors. But the lack of problems and the quality of work was well worth it. We have endured low bid contractors in the past. That made the experience with NVS all the better. We would definitely recommend them and even use them again.

Munoz Construction LLC
I asked a neighbor for referral after Jose and his team had completed multiple projects for them. Jose and his team were by far the best choice. We struggled many years to fix and finish projects from other contractors who were unreliable and didn't complete projects in our house. Jose detailed every single aspect of what needed to be done to restore our home to normal. His team were punctual "every single morning" and worked full days, cleaning up after themselves daily. The work that was done was exemplary that included paint, installing doors, kitchen counter with sink and dishwasher, tiling, window and door framing, trim, install ceiling fans, drywall finishing, and instll new banisters to the main and upstairs railing; the whole package. It's as if we had a new house built. My husband and I were so astonished that even he shed a tear of joy. We thought we would never see our house finished; it was a disaster. Jose kept in constant contact, checked on his team throughout the day, increased size of team as needed to make his projected deadline. So very thorough! And, so very pleasant to work with; totally reliable. And the price was better than we had expected. We thought Jose provided excellent pricing for the work provided. Everything bit of work was completely outlined in his quote and final invoice. We highly recommend Jose Munoz construction for any project. And, if the task is something he is not fully confident to provide, he will be up front with you, and totally honest. A great individual, and a great company he takes pride in. He was our "Holmes" to the rescue! And, we will hire Jose and his team again in the future, as we still have a few more projects to finish on our main floor.

Wall to Wall Construction, Inc
This is the third time we have worked with Angel and the Wall to Wall Construction team. As always, these guys are the best. Overall, Angel is excellent at communication and they make sure the job is done as the customer wants it at a reasonable price. For this project, we turned an unused space in our home into a wet bar. Construction would include fixing drywall, moving plumbing, installing cabinets, installing recessed lighting, installing a built in kegerator, and installing a tile back splash. This was all completed in an unlevel room, making the job a bit challenging. Angel's estimate came in right in at the final cost and the timeline of three months was met (there was a significant pause as we waited for the cabinets/counters to be fabricated and delivered - all expected). In the end, we were very pleased with the end result and look forward to working with Wall to Wall Construction on our next project. One important thing to note: what makes Wall to Wall Construction better than the rest is Angel's dedication to customer satisfaction. He takes the time to answer all questions and go above and beyond to get the job done right. Further, he is always available for a call and answers all questions sent to him via email or text - I do not know many other contractors that make this kind of commitment to their clients.

Moss Building & Design
We recently contracted with Moss Construction to correct damage as a result of termite infestation. From start to finish, this company was great. Arek, the project manager, was hands on throughout the work. Jeff and Emil were a pleasure to work with; always on time, maintained a clean work site, and performed all work in a professional manner. Finding a good contractor to perform work in your home is always an iffy proposition. I can highly recommend Moss Construction. They are at the top of my list for home services.

Rm Construction Inc
RM Construction, Reynaldo Martinez, and his crew are all fantastic designers, installers, and professionals with whom we trust every aspect of our home. We previously employed RM Construction for painting the house and handyman repairs. This time, they did significant design and construction work. Their design sensibility is phenomenal and goes far above and beyond any other contractors we interviewed, and is included in their fee. The workmanship is excellent. And Reynaldo and his workers are neat, clean, and kind. We look forward to working with them again on our kitchen and patio remodel next.

Brent Construction & Renovations
Brent Construction made useful suggestions and worked with us at every turn. The electricians installed the new lighting (tray ceiling and under-cabinet lighting) and new sockets. Once the chain store did the refacing of the cabinets, they had a plumber ready to complete work on the sink, a gas contractor to check the stove. Then we had an excellent firm install tile that we had purchased. A subcontractor did the wallpapering and Brent Construction did painting and finishing as needed. Finally, a subcontractor put in a new hardwood floor. The sequencing and interactions with Brent Construction was excellent.

We evaluated several contractors for the construction of a basement bedroom. We found the contractors through Angies List and other sources. We only looked at the highest rated contractors on Angies List. Flash Services came out the clear winner, which was backed up by our experience. The big edge was that Mike Fleshren, who owns the business, is also the one doing the work. He occasionally needs an assistant, but was the one in our house doing construction, drywall, insulation, door installation, window installation, and much more. All the other contractors were only and quot;supervisorsand quot; who hired other people to do the work, and no doubt took a markup. These and quot;other peopleand quot; we would not meet ahead of time and would have no idea of their qualifications. Good craftsmanship is vital to getting a room done right. I have witnessed and heard of tremendous problems with construction workers doing less than stellar work, and a lot of time you only find out about it the hard way. Mike did the work very well and very quickly. He has a thorough knowledge of home construction, and uses it to do the work very efficiently. He is very easy to communicate with and did exactly what we wanted. Other people we talked to did not listen and ignored instructions, even when it came to what we needed in a proposal. He also always explained what he was going to do. His price was in the lower range of the others, and the best price for that quality of the work. The building inspector praised his work, and, when I mentioned how fast Mike was, said and quot;it does go fast when someone knows what they're doing.and quot; Total time to construct the room in an unfinished basement, including framing, drywall, insulation, window, doors, resolving plumbing issues, and rough electrical was just a couple of days when you took out drying times. This guy could construct the whole interior of a house in no tim

Nasr Electric Inc
My contractor did not want me to upgrade panel prior to construction of our addition so I did not use Nasr. He was very informative and the price was right though. I will not hesitate using Nasr in the future.

Lofft Construction Inc
Overall I am very pleased with the work that was done. This was a large project requiring a complete gut of over 2/3 of my house. This house is over one-hundred years old and they had to remove everything but the brick walls, ceiling, and floors. The initial meeting with Luis, the contractor, went well. He understood what we wanted, came in with a budget we could afford, and scheduled our project in a timely manner. The demo went well and on-time. They then had to install framing, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. They sub-contract the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. No issues there. The rest of the project progressed on time. I purchased the fixtures and appliances on-line saving some money there. The walls went up, sheet-rock in, and painting done with no issues. My only complaint with the project revolved around a change to the plans that rippled through the project until the end. The contractor recommended that we fur-out the brick walls to allow for insulation and wiring. A good suggestion, but those lost inches rippled through the entire project and weren't properly accounted for causing issues and increasing cost. This decision was made with my consent, but I didn't have the foresight to see its impact all the way through. It is this type of insight that I was paying for and I believe the contractor failed me here. The bottom-line is that I believe it is the contractor's responsibility to foresee the impact of changes and decisions as they are the "expert" and counsel the homeowner accordingly. That being said, I would hire them again. They were professional and prompt when replying to my questions and concerns. I was especially pleased with the on-site foreman, Eric. He is hardworking, diligent, and puts his best into a project. The overall cost was reasonable for the work that was done. There have been a few minor areas requiring a follow-up visit and they have responded quickly and without fuss. I would recommend them to my neighbors.

Sunrise General Construction LLC
I had received multiple estimates from electricians and another contractor, and I had received conflicting advice on permit and other requirements from the contractors, my insurance adjuster, power company, and Fairfax County. Gerver responded quickly and identified the quickest and most cost-effective way to resolve all of the problems. Gerver and his team resolved all of the problems within 48 hours of initial contact. They did a great job, and the cost was reasonable. I would highly recommend Sunrise General Construction.

Munoz Construction LLC
Jose's work was fabulous, from the very beginning!! I can't recommend him enough and believe me, with several rental houses, I have worked with lots of contractors. Right from the beginning, he was kind, cooperative, professional AND communicated extremely with us to keep us informed of progress on construction as well as obtaining permits. He is saint!! You will love him and never hire another contractor!! He added several "extras" without be asked and was very generous with his time and talent!

Marks-Woods Construction Services, LLC
I started the process by making a detailed list of what I wanted (I was supplying all the fixtures for the bathroom and the tile for the bathroom and laundry room.) Using software from the internet I developed an estimate for the project in this area. I asked seven different contractors to give me a bid based on identical requirements. Three of these were highly rated contractors off of Angie's list. I provided all bidders with and estimate of what I was willing to spend. MW and two other contractors were the only ones to come close to my budget. The three Angie list contractors were $20,000 to $70,000 more expensive than MW. I discussed construction methods and obtained references from the other bidders. I chose MW based on construction methods and cost. The whole experience was very positive. The crews that worked on the various systems were excellent especially the construction crew head by Armando. It is unreasonable to expect a project of this size to go flawlessly. It is how the construction company responds to problems that is important. MW addressed all problems in timely and professional manner. One problem even arose on a Sunday and MW was there within about an hour to resolve it. The only change order that was not requested by me, was one that had to do with the footing of my main house. After excavating the new basement it was determined by county inspectors that the new wall of the basement adjoining the old house footing would have to be designed by an engineer to properly support the old footings. This could not have been foreseen prior to construction. These required a $4700 change order( This cost is included in the total cost above.). No profit or overhead was charged for this change order. While the snow storms delayed the completion of the project, during the storms MW called to say that they had gotten one of their trucks on the road and offered to come and take us to the store if we needed anything. I would gladly use them again for a project.
