"Awesome, awesome, awesome! Rob and his team(Brian and Trevor) completed my bathroom makeover in a timely manner. I feared starting a construction project, but they made it a smooth process. The design was impeccable and extremely cost efficient for all that was done. It meant so much to me to see the joy on my husband and daughter’s faces. You cannot go wrong with this company."

"OMG.. I reach out earlier this year to Mike to get an estimate for a shower to be installed in our existing half bath on our lower level. His estimate was the best financially, although I needed to save a bit more. SO GLAD I DID. Reach back out at the end of November and the October 9th was scheduled. From jack hammering the floor to create a new drain, to the actual installation ~ my shower was done in 3 days (cement drying) and I can not tell you how much I love it!! Mike was even able to get a beautiful shower ledge that totally matches the decor. His guys showed up on time, were professional and very respectable and cleaned up afterwards. Come to find out, I am related to one of the guys, LOL. Yes, I am recommending Easy Bath to you if you are considering doing some bathroom upgrading and/or remodeling. This company is easy to work with and NO PRESSURE. Thanks again Mike and Team"

"Ark remodeled our master bathroom. Jean explained everything thoroughly and followed thru on ensuring the work was done in a quality manner, including throwing in a new ceiling fan when he saw the age of the one in our bathroom. The new bathroom looks great and the pricing was excellent."

Customers say: True professional

"We had a wonderful experience with Mose.  From the time he came to the house for the initial estimate to the time he returned with the finished product (only a few weeks later) everything about the experience was top notch.  The bookcases are absolutely gorgeous and they fit perfectly!  It only took Mose a few hours to install them after they were made.  We can't say enough about Mose.  He is very professional, personable, punctual and his work is exceptional.  Our bookcases are truly worth the price we paid for them and we intend  on having Mose build us a second set along a wall in our dining room in the near future!  We would highly recommend Mose to anyone looking to having any type of woodworking done!"

"This was the second time that I was using Custom Home Works. Earlier in the year they had done an excellent job on re-modelling my kitchen. Re-modelling the bathroom had always been on the cards. I did not include it in the earlier project (remodelling the kitchen) because I did not have knowledge of the work that they do. Having seen what they did on the first project I was more than happy to have them come back to work on the bathroom project for me. I had a few ideas regarding what I wanted the bathroom to look like. Bill and Dave listened patiently and offered very good suggestions. All in all an excellent job was done and I have no complaints; from the design phase through to the finishing. I was happy with their work the first time and am even happier the second time. I would recommend this contractor for any home improvement job."

"The bathroom install was done so professionally and the installer was just great. He went above and beyond what I asked him to do. I asked him to remove a towel bar and I would handle patching it and painting it and he patched it for me. I also asked him to hang a cabinet and after hanging it he made sure it would stay up by adding a couple more screws. I would recommend them to anyone needing a bathroom remodel. They go above and beyond what you expect them to do. Definitely worth the money."

"Ultimately, I was happy with the results. But there were multiple challenges with the project. We wanted to partially remodel two bathrooms. For bathroom #1, we were replacing the tub/shower; replacing the vanity, mirror, and medicine cabinet; installing new lights and fan; and smoothing a textured ceiling. For bathroom #2, we were replacing a tub (only); replacing the vanity, mirrors, and medicine cabinet; installing new lights and fan; and smoothing a textured ceiling. The bathrooms had to be done in sequence since we needed one working bathroom. The sales process went fine. Contract signed in April. Work started at the end of June. Work was completed in mid October. The materials used were good: We like the vanity, and the countertop (from Granite Direct) is fine. There were three main problems: 1. Scheduling/staffing. I appreciate that the project manager accommodated our schedules. But the company (like many others) is short-handed. So there were many days were someone would be on site for an hour or two, and then not back again for several days. This project should not have taken 3.5 months to complete. (One example of the slowness: It took something like 8 days to install subway tile in one bath area. That was one person, working 3-4 hours per day. And no one else was working on anything else at that time.) 2. Communication. The communication between SemBro and us was good. But the communication among workers was poor. In many cases, we had to tell the workers what they needed to do—project details had not been communicated. There were also issues in which the company had not acquired (or even ordered) the parts we needed, which caused delays. 3. Skill level. This might be the case with many contracting firms, but few of the individual workers were skilled in the tasks they had to perform. We didn't have plumbers or electricians; we had people who generally understood how to hook up a sink or install a light. As a result, there were several problems. For example, the first tub was hooked up incorrectly. And it leaked into a third, downstairs bathroom, ruining the ceiling and walls. SemBro repaired that ceiling and wall (which I appreciate), but I still had to repaint everything, and of course, there were delays and inconveniences as the project now covered a third bathroom. Another example: One team installed the wrong kind of lights in one bathroom. And while doing so, they carved holes in the drywall that were too large. They later tried to "fix" this with calk. I had to remove the caulk, then patch and repaint the ceiling. Later, I will hire an actual electrician to install different lights. Another example: The sink in bathroom #1 leaked after installation. Another example: The sinks in bathroom #2, which had been off for more than a month (because of project delays), clogged and leaked. I called in a plumber and drain un-clogger. (The clog is not strictly SemBro's fault, but if the sink had not been off for a month, it might not have happened.) Toward the end of the project, it seemed like each time a team arrived, one task would be completed and another problem would be created. So, again, happy with the results. But after more than a quarter of a year working on this project, it's difficult to recommend SemBro."

Bathroom Vanity Installation FAQs

The cost of home remodeling is $50,000 for the average homeowner. However, this cost can range anywhere from $3,000 for a small project to $170,000 for a whole home remodel. Factors like project size, location, and room type all affect your overall cost. For example, bedroom remodeling costs are one of the least expensive projects, costing about $1,500 to $5,500 per bedroom. However, a kitchen remodel has a significant cost range, totaling anywhere from $14,500 to over $70,000.

Generally, general contractors charge between $50 and $150 hourly, though not every contractor charges by the hour. If charging based on the project, you can expect a markup of 10% to 20% of the construction cost. You can expect to pay between $300 and $500 daily if charged by the day.

Yes, most states require home remodeling contractors to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed home remodeling contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

General contractors are the ones that coordinate home construction projects. They are in charge of the day-to-day oversight of the subcontractors to ensure that the project is completed on time and to resolve problems as they arise. General contractors:

  • Complete pre-construction planning, both with the customer and crew

  • Provide realistic cost estimates

  • Develop construction timelines

  • Ensure deadlines are met

  • Acquire permits as needed

  • Purchase supplies and materials

While city and state laws vary on general contractor licensing requirements, hiring an unlicensed general contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local general contractor guidelines for your area.
