"Nice young fellows, and good to work with. Our deck was a goner. They replaced it with Trex composite materials, and enlarged it. It's great. On our patio, they took out patio bricks, and put in cement. The wife is happy. We had some changes, and they were okay with it. We even had them re-shingle, a shed, and had them tear out a shower in a bathroom. We would hire them again."

"we had concrete pads added after home construction. One pad had a 2 inch settlement on one corner. Complicating this was a stone wall sitting atop the pad. Excellent restoration was done by Groundworks From Bozeman. After a thorough evaluation by Ben, Chelsea and Tyler were prompt, educational and successful. "This job started as a small project and then mutated into a full siding job. He showed me the rotten/rotting plywood under my siding. He then gave honest recommendations and let us decide what route we wanted to take. He navigated supplier issues when they sent the wrong type of siding. He gave us an alternative idea that would allow the use of the different siding without waiting 4+ weeks for the new shipment. Shiny surfaces like metal or glass can’t absorb limewash, so it’s not suited for these.

Yes, concrete is significantly stronger than masonry, especially if the concrete pour includes reinforcements, like steel rebar. Concrete is a uniform material that can withstand compression, sheer force, and tensile force as long as it’s reinforced. Masonry involves the use of mortar or grout to connect individual building materials, like brick, stone, or tile. Mortar and grout are also reasonably strong and resist compression well, but they don’t come close to the strength of poured concrete.

The best tool for drilling into brick or mortar is a rotary hammer drill which is a large hammer drill with low rotation speed and high torque. Regular drills with a hammer function are also excellent tools for drilling into brick when the diameter of the hole is 1/2 inch or less.
