They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

The only way to determine if you have a radon problem in your home is to have professional testing done. You can buy DIY radon test kits, but these are sometimes inaccurate in certain temperatures and humidity levels, and they don’t paint the entire picture in terms of your radon exposure. To check the water pressure in your house, you’ll need to use a water pressure gauge, which you can purchase at your local hardware store. Locate your outside water spigot and attach the gauge (following the manufacturer’s instructions). Normal home water pressure is between 40 and 80 PSI.

Hiring a structural engineer who inspects foundations is the best way to find out if your foundation is up to code. These pros know building codes in and out and can inspect your foundation and prepare a report detailing anything that doesn’t meet code. A structural engineer can also recommend fixes for any problems they spot—you’ll just need to hire a foundation contractor to do the work.

If the knob and tube wiring system is in good condition and recently approved by a licensed inspection, then it is safe.
