"We recently decided to replace our old sliding glass doors with Renewal By Andersen sliding glass doors, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The new doors glide smoothly on rollers, making them incredibly easy to open and close. The hardware is not only functional but also adds a stylish touch to our home. Since we use the door frequently, we appreciated being able to add a lock for extra security. The installation team was fantastic—professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. It was refreshing to work with people who clearly knew what they were doing. We highly recommend Renewal By Andersen to anyone considering new sliding glass doors."
"Still deciding on who to use. Very nice person who took estimates. Seem very on top of things. Thank you. EDIT: FWIW The above review was written while the person giving the estimate was standing there asking me to give her a review. She was nice, but obviously a seasoned salesperson. She did attempt to hard-sell me a few times, and even pulled the "call my manager and get another 10% off" routine mentioned by others here... but again, I wasn't having any of it. Bottom line is that their lowest possible option came to an amount in excess of the "HIGH END" average here (for my area) by nearly two grand... and that was their lowest cost option. Let me be honest here... I live in a CB Homes tract house worth $165K on a good day... I was looking for a bath to shower conversion for mom who's been living with me and having troubles getting in the shower. I can't cough up money I would expect to pay for a full remodel of the bathroom (their high end and original estimate). And unfortunately I can't cough up nearly five digits for shower with glass door ... on the low end. I need a functional shower that looks as good as the original stock CB Homes tub... the bar isn't set too high. These folks are obviously for the higher end custom home. That's fine. I just wish the person on the phone when I called to make the appointment and TOLD HER my situation at least had the information to relay that the lowest my job was going to cost with glass door would be what it was. But whatever. I just felt I needed to correct the record here... especially after reading some of the other reviews. To summarize: The lady who appeared for the appointment was personable... she seemed to know what she w as doing... she also was obviously a sales professional and did employ some tactics to make the sale (not entirely unexpected of course)... and perhaps, if she had the flexibility to sell a lower end "non-custom" type product, we may have bought (but not right then regardless... these folks were the first people to come out and give and estimate and I NEVER buy anything based on a single estimate.)... but their lowest cost product was easily 2x the cost I was expecting going in (albeit admittedly a thoroughly informed expectation) ... I have another estimate that will be done Wednesday. I already spoke to the owner on the phone so as to not waste his time. I relayed some of this information to him in hopes to determine if he has any possible chance of meeting or exceeding the expectations I've developed (partly based on the averages available here on this site) and if it would be a waste of time for him to come by... the appointment is still set."

A major mistake during glass and mirror service is scheduling installations during extreme winter cold, which prevents sealants from curing properly. Homeowners also frequently underestimate Casper wind loads, choosing standard glass instead of thicker options. Ignoring compromised, shrunken wooden frames before replacing glass guarantees rapid failure. Finally, delaying the repair of minor wind-damaged glass allows freeze-thaw cycles to turn small chips into full breaks during a harsh WY winter.

To prepare for glass and mirror service needs, keep heavy plastic sheeting and weather-rated tape on hand to temporarily secure windows after frequent Casper windstorms. Maintain a flashlight and inspection mirror to check window glazing and frame gaps before winter. Use a basic hygrometer to monitor indoor humidity, preventing mirror backing deterioration. Finally, keep a smoke pencil available to detect failing seals and drafts during the harsh WY winter.

Combining glass and mirror service with other home upgrades is a highly efficient strategy. Pair window glass replacement with weatherization and insulation upgrades to combat harsh Wyoming winters. Since dry air deteriorates wooden frames, replace compromised frames alongside your glass. For interior projects, combine mirror replacement with bathroom remodels to address hard water etching. Schedule these combined exterior projects between May and September to secure contractor availability in Casper.

Schedule glass and mirror service immediately if you spot chips or stress cracks after a severe Casper windstorm. Visible condensation between panes or winter drafts indicate failing seals that require prompt replacement. Inside, dark spots around mirror edges signal backing failure due to indoor humidity fluctuations. Always complete necessary window repairs before October to ensure proper sealant curing ahead of the freezing WY winter temperatures.

The success of glass and mirror service in Casper depends heavily on local climate factors. Extreme temperature swings and freeze-thaw cycles cause frames to expand and contract, stressing glass seals. High winds drive debris that causes stress fractures, while Wyoming's dry air shrinks wooden frames. Select high-quality sealants and ensure proper anchoring to withstand intense UV exposure. Always adhere to building codes requiring safety glazing in hazardous locations.
