They sat down with me and provided helpful context into what the issue was and how the solution would help. They got the permits within a few weeks and promptly scheduled a date to begin. The workers were Foreman Jaime Castillo and crew member Jaime Salas. Both were professional and effective. They completed the installtion withing the scheduled 3-day window and cleaned up after their work. They took extra care when tearing down our drywall to do minimal damage and keep a clean workspace. It has only been a few weeks snce the constuction completed, so I cannot speak to the long term effectiveness of the solution as of yet. What I can say was that JES was profesisonal, effective, timely, and did some price-matching when I compared quotes from other companies. I would recommend them for your basement needs."

"My computer (Windows XP) was running very slow and had become almost inoperable. It was taking a very long time to process anything, especially anything to do with the internet. IE was taking 100% of the cpu most of the time. Jim worked on my computer remotely for several days defragging, cleaning, anti-virus, malware, etc., but could not get it to perform anywhere near where it should. We decided that I needed a new computer. Jim built me a new computer (Windows 7 with racing stripes). The new system works very well and I am pleased with it. When Jim switched my files over from old to new, the Kodak Easy-Share program with my pictures did not get transferred. He has promised to make that transfer when he installs a new door covering the DVD reader which was broken upon setup. I will update this review when this occurs. I am very pleased with the new system and would do it all over again if a similar situation were present.

"Install was easy. Up front cost was pretty low with Angie's List coupon. Monthly price is a little high compared to competing companies. Response time with alarms is excellent. I was advised to use glass break alarms within 10 ft of my first floor windows, which we installed correctly. I asked prior to installation if having one in the kitchen would cause false alarms due to dishes clanging, etc. I was told the glass break alarms are configured to a precise frequency that alarms with breaking glass. So, not a "no", but not really an answer. Well, every time we cook dinner, wash dishes or empty the dish washer, the kitchen glass break alarm gives a warning which would sound the alarm if it was set. This has caused us a number of false alarms while we've been away due to shifting bowls or plates in our drying rack. For the first several we've had to pay our police department $120 to check the house, and I was only notified after the first alarm that there was a cheaper option for a security company to drive by to check for a break in."

"The first contractor you recommended could not seem to get their act together. I told them I would be at the doctor from 11-1:00pm and they sent someone out twice while I was gone!! This was on Thursday... they could not come when I got home at 1:00 , although the appt window was 11 to 3 pm. They had no appts on Friday and said I would have to wait until Monday to try to make an appt. Meanwhile I was left with a machine full of smelly water! I spoke to CHW Thursday afternoon and they gave me JBServices number to call. Someone came out immediately, diagnosed the problem and fixed the washer.. the technician was courteous and professional and I was able to start washing clothes right away!"
