"My computer (Windows XP) was running very slow and had become almost inoperable. It was taking a very long time to process anything, especially anything to do with the internet. IE was taking 100% of the cpu most of the time. Jim worked on my computer remotely for several days defragging, cleaning, anti-virus, malware, etc., but could not get it to perform anywhere near where it should. We decided that I needed a new computer. Jim built me a new computer (Windows 7 with racing stripes). The new system works very well and I am pleased with it. When Jim switched my files over from old to new, the Kodak Easy-Share program with my pictures did not get transferred. He has promised to make that transfer when he installs a new door covering the DVD reader which was broken upon setup. I will update this review when this occurs. I am very pleased with the new system and would do it all over again if a similar situation were present.

"I wasn't sure exactly what to expect when I first purchased this coupon and service. I was creating a home office from an open room in my new home generally intended for formal living I expect. I had a general idea of what I wanted. When I received the welcome email and instructions, I was given instructions for how to provide information including a link to a site where I could map out my room with doorways, windows, etc. I provided all of the requested information including pictures of the space. I was very thorough. This service is entirely over email and internet.
We had a phone conference to discuss what I wanted and about a week later, I received a link with all of their suggested selections. At first, I was very confused because it didn't seem to meet my needs. However, when I contacted them about it, we had another conference call and they explained that they were simply providing a number of different solutions for each category; paint, office furniture, fixtures, textiles, etc. Their vision for my room actually was more along the lines. It was a wonderful tool because I was able to scroll through additional options. I had questions every step of the way and was answered with friendly, timely responses. I was given a direction and suggested to first choose my drapes to design around a fabric/print and that worked perfectly. I ended up wiht amazing paint colors, new cabinets and a very cohesive and functional home office that suits my style. 
I really can't say enough good things about the amount of time they spent responding to my emails and questions. They had great advice and answered every single one. 
They offer discounts to products they support so the only negative thing I would say is that their suggestions for different items seem to be based of the companies they partner with. Obviously that would be expected. I would NOT use the cabinet company they referred in the future as I had issues with them separately. Overall, excellent and worth EVERY penny spent. I love working from home in my gorgeous home office!"

"I am very pleased with the work Machen Bros. did.  They were a bit difficult to get a hold of, though, and we had to leave several messages before we heard back from them once the door & window delivery date were confirmed.  But that aside, their work was outstanding, and I anticipate using them on any job that I am not able to do myself.  In addition to the quality work, they also did a good job of covering things inside the house and minimizing the mess that was made, leaving them with relatively little to clean up when they finished, which they did very well.

"Mike from A1 doors came on time and went right to work removing old doors and installing the new ones, I help some but for the most part Mike handled by him self. When Mike was finished he cleaned up the job sight and hauled off the old doors.                      Great Job Mike. I will use A1 Doors again when needed."

"I have two huge windows that I like to have window treatment. I am a bit concern order online. But the price is reasonable and I gave it a try. Man, it is worth it. The drapes arrived beautifully, more than I expected. It fits perfectly. The customer service was great. Mary, the person I worked with went extra miles to deliver the trims my wife wanted and turned out beautifully. After this, I ordered two more drapes from them. "This was the service provided by AHS's contractor Myers Comfort Specialist.  They would only provide a 2hr window with a 30 min notice of when they would be there. They agreed to come out between 3pm - 5pm that day; later around 4:30 I call to see when they would be out and discovered the tech had call the wrong number and they couldn't come out until the next day. The tech came out and diagnosed the problem, but he need a part. Later that day, when I called to inquire about a time frame I was told by a supervisor that the technicians do not turn in paperwork until the next morning and then the part would be ordered. I received a call the next day that the part was available, but they could only come out between 1pm and 5pm with a 30 min notice. I ask to schedule the first appointment for the next day and was told they would set up a time to be out between 8am - 10 am with a 30 min notice. At 10am the next morning, no call, no show. I called MCS and was told the technician was delayed at the warehouse picking up the part and would call shortly. (I'm not sure why the part was not picked up the day before when they said the could come out?) Also called AHS and explained the situation and asked to have the $75 service fee waved, which they agreed to do. The tech arrived about 11am installed the part and was finished about noon. Between the initial call and the repair visit I end up missing almost a whole day of work.
