"A great contractor is hard to find these days. Look no further than GAP Excavation. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience using them and it exceeded my expectations. All of the boxes were checked, excellent communication, quality of work, affordability, and most of all respectful and honest customer service. This is by far the best contracting service that I have used to date."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

Pros will assess your soil type, property geography, and rain patterns for optimal slope.

Land surveys don’t technically expire. They do serve as a point of reference and a snapshot of your property, though, so as soon as you make changes to your property (and even if your neighbor makes certain changes to theirs), your existing land survey becomes inaccurate, and a new one must be done. Even if you don’t make any changes to your property, many states only guarantee the accuracy of a land survey for five to ten years.

A land survey includes the layout of a single property, including precise measurements and to-scale drawings of boundary lines, land improvements, and sometimes other features, like topography and drainage information. A plat map includes the layouts and boundary lines of several adjacent plots and basic structure measurements. Surveys are normally more valuable for homeowners and buyers, and plat maps are for governmental use.

You will find a collection of licensed land surveyors in your area. Your real estate agent or construction manager may also be able to recommend a trusted professional. When speaking with prospective pros in your area, ask the land surveyor if they are licensed in the state, have liability insurance, and can quote you a fee before starting.

Property lines, building locations, and potential encroachments are mapped.
