GAP Excavating is a small family owned licensed and insured business based in Martinsburg, West Virginia. We specialize in smaller excavation projects generally providing services for home owner's and small businesses, but remain open to all projects we are able to perform with excellence. At GAP Excavating, customer satisfaction is at the top of our list. As the owner of GAP Excavating, I am a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and a retired Air Traffic Controller with the Federal Aviation Administration. You can count on our honesty and integrity.

Tim is the owner and operator of GAP. He is a fine gentleman who is courteous and fair with his estimate of the job. He marked the digging areas and briefed me thoroughly. We had the utility co come out to check before we started work. On the day of digging, he arrived bright and early and completed the work as we had agreed on. I am vey satisfied with his work and will not hesitate to hire him again. Highly recommended!

A great contractor is hard to find these days. Look no further than GAP Excavation. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience using them and it exceeded my expectations. All of the boxes were checked, excellent communication, quality of work, affordability, and most of all respectful and honest customer service. This is by far the best contracting service that I have used to date.

The excavation went very well. Very knowledgeable and performed to perfection . Showed up on time or early when he said he would. Took it upon himself to go above and beyond what was expected. Very reliable and great to work with. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

Excellent I hired Tim Hardison owner of GAP Excavating do some land clearing. Tim showed up on a Friday morning as agreed upon with his excavator he worked all day Friday and Saturday and removed the stumps from 16 large trees that I had cut down Tim will do whatever it takes to make sure the job is done right on time on budget and to your satisfaction he has the equipment to get the job done right

Tim did a great job for us. He utilized his expertise and assisted with planning of the project. He provided a high attention to detail. He proved his valued skills by completing a variety of tasks; trenching for a water line and conduit; removed topsoil and graded a gravel parking lot; prepared the area for a concrete slab; built a long gravel walkway; and excavated a storm water pond. Tim is an honest and trustworthy man. I would highly recommend him for any excavation project.
