"Been waiting for a plumber for a week, kept getting appt moved. Finally checked Angi and found Georgeâ s Drains. They called me within 5 minutes of entering my info for a quote. Told me they were on a job but would come after. When Juan & Cameron arrived, they were very professional and went right to work. Had our clogged drain issue resolved in an hour. They cleaned up after themselves and left us with a working drain! Canâ t say enough positive things about these guys! They are young men with a very strong work ethic and enjoy what they do. We would recommend them to everyone and anyone needing a drain unclogged! Great job Juan & Cameron!"

"When I requested an estimate for a kitchen sink removal and a new install with new faucet, I was contacted within 10 minutes and had an estimate over the phone immediately. Once I received many estimates from other plumbers, this was the most reasonable. I was given an appointment within a few days. Justin arrived promptly as scheduled. Justin’s work was thorough, neat and tidy. The project took him about 2 hours to complete and he did an excellent job, I couldn’t be any more pleased. Everything looks beautiful. I would definitely hire them again if needed."

I am a young business owner and brand new father! I have worked all over the construction industry from a young age and became a licensed plumber before I finished highschool. The name “One man” Freelancing was inspired by my service in the WV national guard where I still currently serve as the “one man” a term given to the cannon crewmember who loads and fires the artillery cannons. I have a broad range of knowledge and problem solving skills, if I don’t know how to do the job I will surely be able to learn and you will not be disappointed with results!

"MMG did a great job all around with my AC repair. I've had them come out twice to work on my aging AC system. Each time they were out quickly, got the job done right, cleaned up after themselves, and were professional. These guys are my go-to for anything HVAC related. I recommend them to everyone."

"I had a subsurface drain completely clogged with tree roots. I had inserted a rod to determine where the clog started and dug down to the spot. I discovered that the old Kenova tarpaper pipe coupling had allowed several large roots to penetrate the pipe. I cut the coupling out with a hacksaw hoping to pull the roots out. However, the roots had grown up about 10 feet of the pipe and I was unable to dislodge them. I bought a 2 ft. section of 3and quot; ABS pipe to replace the cutout section, together with two flexible couplings. But, the old pipe is slightly larger that the replacement pipe and the couplings. I was standing there scratching my head, unable to remove the roots, with a large hole in my yard and couplings that would be the devil to install. I called another drain cleaner and was given high quotes and a bit of a run-around when it came to getting someone to come out and help me.
So, I called Roto-Rooter. The technician came in 15 minutes and gave me a quote that was 2/3 of the lowest quote I had received from the competition. He immediately set to work and in about an hour he had cleaned the line, cut the replacement pipe to length, and managed to install the couplings over the old pipe which was somewhat oversize. He backfilled the hole and tamped the replaced dirt after first checking the flow. It was the best service I have received from a tradesman in years. The technician's name was John. I don't know if he is representative of all of Roto-Rooter's people, but I know that any time tin future I need some drain work done, I will call Roto-Rooter and ask for John.

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

There are several steps you can take to prevent your AC drain from clogging. This includes cleaning the drain line at least every three months, changing the filter every one to three months, and getting your AC serviced annually. Also, if any problems arise with your AC, hire an HVAC technician to deal with them ASAP.

Yes, sewage smells can originate from a floor drain. If the P-Trap in the floor drain dries out or if there's a clog or other issue in the plumbing system, sewer gasses can escape through the drain, causing nasty odors. Regularly pouring water into the drain helps maintain the water seal and prevent those smells, but if the smell persists, you should have a plumbing professional inspect the drain for potential problems.

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

DIY plunging or drain cleaning chemicals may help minor clogs, but professional hydro jetting ensures long-term solutions.

Water leaking through your basement floor is a good sign of a clogged drain, but another sign of a clogged basement floor drain can include unpleasant odors coming from the drain. Also, hearing gurgling noises when water drains from the basement or having other plumbing fixtures (like toilets or other drains) backing up is a good indicator.
