I am a young business owner and brand new father! I have worked all over the construction industry from a young age and became a licensed plumber before I finished highschool. The name “One man” Freelancing was inspired by my service in the WV national guard where I still currently serve as the “one man” a term given to the cannon crewmember who loads and fires the artillery cannons. I have a broad range of knowledge and problem solving skills, if I don’t know how to do the job I will surely be able to learn and you will not be disappointed with results!

"Jody and his crew trimmed a very large nut tree and took out some dead trees that I had on my property. The completed the work quite quickly and did a great job cleaning up when they were finished. The price was very reasonable for the amount of work completed."

"I rarely give anyone 5 stars to anyone as I feel we can all improve something. However, I give Simpson’s Elite Tree 5 stars. Very professional, on time, honest and they exceeded my expectations, not to mention the price was much better than a couple other companies’ prices. Not only did they remove the “widow maker” in my backyard, there is almost zero evidence that a tree was even dropped in the yard. They had a huge challenge due to the very limited space they had to work in. The tree could have very easily took out the neighbor’s fence, my roof or my deck but they dropped each piece right where they predicted it would fall. I watched/listened to their communication through the kitchen window and I’m telling you it’s top notch!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Yes, the same rules discussed above apply to your neighbor: They can trim one of your trees as long as they’re only cutting the portion that extends into their property. Your neighbor is not allowed to access your property without permission, nor can they cut past the property line.

In the short term, you’ll have a lot of fallen trees to deal with. Tree removal services costs typically start at $200 per tree and increase based on species and size. Then, you’ll have to deal with the loss of trees: That means a loss of shade and a greater risk of rain runoff and erosion. Also, you’ll miss out on the health and aesthetic benefits of having trees on your property, which could even affect the resale value of your home.

That being said, cutting down a tree it’s not always a bad idea. Trees growing too close to rooftops can present fire hazards or debris problems. You may need to remove diseased or dying trees to prevent future issues.

Yes, many services include stump grinding to eliminate tripping hazards and improve aesthetics.

Using vinegar to kill tree roots is just one of the clever ways to use vinegar around the house. The method works best when you apply vinegar as directly to the root system as possible. For example, if the old tree roots and stump are currently exposed, drill holes in the tops of the roots and pour undiluted white vinegar into the holes to soak into the plant. Remember that vinegar can kill the surrounding grass and plants should it pour over the edge.

In some states and municipalities, you will need a permit to remove a tree on your property. In many cases where permits are required, a tree must reach a maximum height before a permit is required to remove it. You can either ask your local building department or a tree removal professional if you’ll need a permit. If you do, you can expect to pay between $50 and $150 for the permit alone. Your tree removal company should pull the permit for you and include the permit fee in your total.
