"It was a pleasure working with Concrete Lifting Technologies. Within only a few days of contacting them, they came out to view my property, and shortly afterwards emailed a quote. The cost to fix both my front sidewalk and the driveway slabs was very reasonable. The work itself was completed as scheduled approximately 2-1/2 weeks later (which includes a delay that I imposed myself). They raised the driveway slabs back up to the level of the garage floor so quickly that it was almost complete by the time I realized they had arrived at my home. Fixing the sidewalk that extends from the front porch was a much more difficult task. I'm guessing that the two gentlemen working on it spent a lot more time than they had expected. But they kept at it and the end result is wonderful. They did great work, without damaging anything, and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. Very professsional!"

Mudjacking normally takes between one to three days to dry completely. The larger the project area, the more time it will take to dry. You should not walk on the concrete or place furniture or vehicles on the lifted concrete until it’s completely cured, which a pro can help determine. There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.

It’s possible to rent the equipment necessary to do your own mudjacking, but we don’t recommend it. Mudjacking involves pumping a precise amount of cementitious slurry under your slab to lift it back into place and keep it there. It’s easy to pump too much or not enough, in which case you may need to call in a professional to help anyway. We strongly recommend against mudjacking any load-bearing slab, as you could easily cause irreversible structural damage to your property if you make a mistake. This is one job where paying for a professional is worthwhile.
