However, we don’t recommend placing hot pots and pans directly on granite countertops. Even if it doesn’t scar the granite, it may damage the sealant.

The timeline to install countertops largely depends on the materials and the job size. Average-sized quartz countertops take two to five hours to install, though most pros will recommend a 24-hour settling period.
