"This company took advantage of my elderly parents and has provided extremely poor customer service. The initial installation of gutter covers was done poorly, and when a technician returned to "fix" the problem, the fix was caused even more damage to the existing gutters and shingles. My mother, who has Alzheimer's was asked to sign documentation that the work was completed to her satisfaction. At the 5th visit from a technician to address the concerns, the tech said that job was done so poorly that it all needed to come down and get redone, including the existing gutters. I called this company several times over several to help address the situation and never once received a call back. Only after I filed a BBB complaint did my father receive a call when he was asked if the company could come back out and fix it. He declined and so they considered it resolved."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Using a truck to remove a bush falls into the category of “just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.” While it is possible to use a truck to pull out a bush, if you don’t have the right equipment, if you’re not familiar with attaching things to your vehicle correctly, or if you don’t have enough room, it’s a risky option. To prevent damage to your vehicle, it’s worth using tools made for the job of digging and cutting roots instead.

Whether you choose to chisel and hammer, chainsaw, or burn your tree stump to hollow it out, always use protective goggles and thick gloves. Splinters are an inevitable risk. Having a power drill with a diameter of at least ⅜ inch also makes the job quicker and easier.

Land-clearing projects often take professionals one to two days to complete, but your timeframe can get much longer—sometimes up to a week or more—if you need your pros to clear a large section of land, grind down multiple large trees below the ground, or clear especially dense or heavy materials, like landscaping boulders and brush. A land-clearing expert will usually give you an accurate timeline along with your quote to help you better plan your project.

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. If you’re unsure which method to use or how quickly you need to act, consulting with a pro is always a good idea.

Most chemical treatments that kill roots will also damage the grass around it—including more natural substances like Epsom salt. In this case, cutting tree roots is probably your best bet if you want to preserve the grass. Use caution before you cut or prune roots to make sure you know what you’re cutting and know the risks if you make an error.
