"George is excellent to work with. He was very quick to respond to the initial request and any other communication after that. He was clear, upfront, and reasonably priced. I had several dead ash trees that needed to be removed, while maintaining a large amount of underbrush that’s used as a visual barrier with my neighbors behind me. George was able to work around the underbrush and when finished with the initial cuts, he cut the tree into smaller manageable logs to be used as firewood and stacked them into nice piles as well as stacked all of the branches into manageable piles as well. I will be using him for any future tree cutting needs moving forward and will recommend him to my friends and family and would recommend to anyone looking for this service. No heavy equipment tearing up the yard in my case. Just a dude in a tree clearly enjoying what he does."

Small jobs welcome

"Working with Taylor and Connor was one of my best experiences in dealing with having professionals work at my home. Communications was immediate and efficient. They were respectful, kind and conscientious when cleaning the dirt, algae and lichen from the patio, sidewalks and driveway. They were especially careful to preserve all my flowers and landscaping bordering the cement areas. I’m delighted to now look at my clean cement surfaces! There was an especially challenging area at the bottom of my driveway, which they were able to figure out a process to remove the excess dirt. They far exceeded my expectations and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them for all of your power washing needs."

Quality of the workmanship was very good and I would strongly recommend his company to anyone looking for handyman services in the Shawano/Keshena area. Arborists questions, answered by experts

The best time to prune Japanese flowering cherry trees depends on where you live and the type of flowering cherry tree. Some trees benefit from being pruned toward the end of winter or early spring, after the last freeze. Meanwhile, other trees do well after blooming, in late spring or early summer. Avoid pruning your flowering cherry tree in the early winter, as this encourages open wounds that can lead to infections or infestations.

Most plum trees are pruned into a vase or open wine glass shape. They’ll have a shorter central leader (the trunk) that supports three to four main branches. Of course, this isn't always the case. If you have a European plum tree, you can grow it in a pyramid shape. Let the central leader extend the length of the tree and prune smaller branches to create the pyramid.

The costs vary from $250 to $5,000 per tree, depending on the size, complexity of the trimming, and labor.

It is possible to burn out a tree stump if it is dried out and in an area of your property with a large buffer. Drill holes in the stump and dig around the base so it burns more easily. Then, build a small campfire on top using kindling and firewood. You’ll need enough to keep the fire going for many hours to completely burn out the stump, especially if it’s large.

Monitor the fire closely to ensure it doesn’t spread, and have a hose on hand if it starts to get out of control. When the fire is out, break apart the burned stump and dig out what’s left of it.

If this sounds like a good option, learn more about how to burn a tree stump before attempting it, as it does come with risks.

Usually, trees cannot grow back after their stump has been ground, but some very hearty types of trees can. For example, if you have a black locust or Redford pear, the grinding will need to go deep to prevent them from growing back. Ask your tree service or stump removal expert whether your tree can resprout after its stump is ground down.
