There are sections of my driveway where nearly all of the seal coating came off in less than 9 months, so I am going to have to re-do the job myself. This is not what I had in mind when I paid over $1,100 (a fair price, if it would have lasted longer). I understand that the work isn't covered anymore, as I didn't report it until the thaw revealed so much was missing, and I'm not upset with Merit or their staff. A stamped concrete overlay provides additional traction on a pool deck that can help minimize the risk of people slipping and falling.

For cracks in asphalt driveways, you can use crack filler or cold-patch asphalt mix, while concrete driveways can be repaired with a concrete patch or resurfacer. To fix the driveway cracks, apply the filler directly into the crack using a caulker and then level it with a putty knife.

Concrete resurfacing is the process of applying a new, thin layer of concrete over an existing concrete slab to give it a fresh appearance. The new layer is often between 1/4-inch and 1-inch thick, so it involves much less material than you’d need to pour a new slab, which is often 4 inches thick. Resurfacing also gives you the opportunity to add color or texture to your slab without totally replacing it.
