I am a general contractor with 22 years of experience. I don't just do it all I do it all WELL, and I take my time to make sure that the customer is happy with the end result. I generally work on a half down, half when the job is completed basis, but I will look at each situation individually and determine what is fair to the customer.

If you are looking for a trust worthy, financially stable contractor to do business with then we are the contractor you are looking for. We take extra steps to make sure that you love the experience of working with us on your project as we love to dream as much as the next person and that is one of the reasons that we are so great at what we do. Whether you are Building New, Remodeling, adding an addition or just need some type of handyman work done you have come to the right place. We have been in business for 16 years and have allot to offer you when it comes to your biggest investment, your home. We realize this, so we hold ourselves to the highest standards when we are working on your home giving you nothing but the best materials and craftsmen.

"The first time I used Al he did a great job replacing my front door. Went away for my brothers celebration of life and called to have my front porch leveled. Because we trusted him and his work we asked if we could do this prior to us coming back. When we got back it was completed, but so the front porch is leaning more and pulling away from my home which it wasn’t before. I called to see if he would come out and check it out. His son came out and stated that yes it isn’t level and pulling away from the house and that he probably should have put more dirt in, and that it would be fixed. So still trusting that they would come back to fix we paid him. This was my mistake I have tried contacting Mr Reed and he blamed it on the person that installed my porch 18 years ago. I would think most contractors worth their weight would check prior to making any changes. So if you feel you wish to have him work on anything you own make sure you are there watching everything you do. I have attached my conversation with him below. You make the decision, but I would never recommend him or his business Al Reed Builders LLC. Al (Allen) Reed Owner/CEO. I tried to work this out and he blocked our phone number after getting rude."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Recaulk your toilet at least every five years. If you feel like your toilet is getting wobbly before that, it still might be time for a new caulking. Never directly place new caulk over existing caulk because that doesn’t produce lasting results. Also, caulking over existing moldy caulk does not kill out the mold by suffocating it, so if you have mold, be sure to get rid of it before recaulking.

Yes. There are a variety of standard pipe sizes used in plumbing. The main supply line connecting your home to the street is either 3/4 or 1 inch in diameter. Supply lines are 3/4 inch in diameter. Individual components are 1/2 inch in diameter. Meanwhile, your main drainpipe is often 4 inches wide. Most shower and bathtub drains are 2 inches in diameter, most toilet drains are 3 inches in diameter, and most sink drainpipes are 1 1/4 or 1 ½ inches in diameter.

A small trickle with drops every three seconds is enough to relieve pressure and ensure there is movement in your pipes. The cost to run a drip is minimal, usually less than $1 a month. The potential savings from flooding and water damage in your home could be in the thousands.

The type of plumbing repair impacts the cost as much as the experience level of the plumber. Parts and labor required to complete the repairs also heavily factor into the price of the job. Some of the most common plumbing repairs include:

  • Burst pipe: $200–$1,000

  • Leaky faucet: $150–$300

  • Pipe leak: $150–$850

  • Water heater repair: $225–$1,000

  • Water main repair: $1,000–$4,000+

If nothing is coming out of your faucet, you could have frozen pipes, a clogged faucet, or your water supply could be shut off. First, check your shut-off valves. If it's a hot sunny day, you can rule out frozen pipes and look closer at your aerator for signs of mineral deposits. Removing the aerator and cleaning it out can often return water flow. If temperatures are below freezing, you may have frozen pipes. Knowing what to do when pipes freeze is essential for thawing your pipes and preventing them from bursting.
