"Contacted S&S for quote on 5/6/22, prior to the beginning of exterior Painting season. Said he was going away a few days and asked for my contact info via text. On 5/8, he requested a list of what I needed done. I took the time to Email the list and received no follow-up. I waited patiently until this month, June 1, and sent a message asking when I could hear from him. I was waiting patiently, as I learned this was a Local Contractor AND they were on Angi's List. Still no reply. Today, 6/2, I called, left a VM and received a text reply saying he was planning on stopping tonite to look at job. There was no advance notice, but he was going to come tonite? I was not available this short of notice. Then, after a bunch of excuses for not responding he told me he had a $5000 job minimum, he did not have time for my job until August, and I should contact another Contractor. WOW. I waited since May 6 for this? We consumers know that if we don't contact a Contractor early in the season we will end up waiting until the end of the season to get our jobs done. Now I should try finding another Contractor... to quote? and then try to get on a schedule... for when? I patiently waited on this Contractor to get here to quote my job and then he brings up a $5k minimum, etc??!! Does he have this requirement listed on Angi? Or was that a lie too? I can't imagine how many excuses this Contractor would have in the future, if I had hired him? I feel I did everything right. I went on Angi to find a reputable Contractor/Painter. I waited patiently around his "current" situation. But not following up to a prospective customer you left waiting for you, then not replying to communication as to "an update please?" is just POOR business practices and inconsiderate, as now I have to try and find another contractor when we're already well into the season of contractor's being booked far out. "The work ethic must’ve changed since the reviews I am reading below. They did a horrible job on my deck on 4/26/25 and my neighbors even said who the heck did you hire? They didn’t sand the deck properly as the paint is peeling after three days and the boards were not replaced as quoted, They power washed it so much that the boards are damaged and they didnt replace as quoted. I also smelled weed. Josh said he would return to fix the issues and then ghosted me. Then when I try to call Samantha his wife , they will not return my calls. Samantha even started forwarding my call to a fake number. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. Stay away."
