"The roofers were extremely professional and nice. They found that the previous roofers did not put flashing around the skylights. All of the wood around them was rotten. They had to take all six skylights out to replace the wood. They did it with minimal dust inside. They took the time to put extra ice and snow barriers around the skylights. The best way to stop your pavers from sinking is to ensure you've properly compacted the base layers. Use your paver compactor and work over the base layer several times to create the hardest possible base. If the soil and sand of your base are compact, you’ll experience less shifting and sinking.

While it may be less expensive initially to lay concrete vs. pavers, the long-term expenses that come with repairing concrete may prove to be less cost-friendly than simply replacing a few damaged pavers. The recommended minimum amount for a paver base is 4 inches. From there, it depends on the kind of traffic the pavers will see and the current soil conditions. Two inches of paver base won’t create the amount of stability and support that pavers need to remain securely in place over time.

The best ways to increase the lifespan of your driveway are to carry out proper maintenance and get repairs done quickly. First, reseal your driveway every one to three years to protect it from the elements. If you start to notice significant cracks, hire a professional to diagnose the problem before it gets more serious. You can also use sand instead of salt when de-icing your driveway (since salt is corrosive) and clean your driveway annually using a pressure washer to keep it in tip-top shape.
