"They arrived promptly to provide a quote. Clean-up was done on schedule; they arrived with 2 workers and a foreman. Ceiling was cleaned in about 2 hours, and they also brightened the grout on the kitchen back splash by the stove. Crew cleaned up after themselves and I couldn't even tell they were there. Painters were expected the next day, but didn't show. The owner was very apologetic on the phone (painters weren't responding to her), and found an alternate crew to come out the next morning. We were hosting a party with many out-of-towners that weekend, so timing was critical. Crew came out first thing Thursday morning. They primed and painted the ceiling, molding and a lot of the wall too so the kitchen looked great! They used low VOC paint per our request, and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. In the end, I was very pleased with the final result."

This depends on the furniture. It’s certainly fine for wood, metal, or composite materials to get wet. The same cannot be said for affiliated cushions and coverings. Many of these adjacent items claim to be water-resistant, but poorly-made accessories take longer to dry, leaving plenty of time for mold to grow. Keep an eye on how your furniture stands up to rain before going in with a pressure washer.

Depending on your type of carpet, a wet/dry vacuum is a great final step to removing blood stains, but it will only help after you’ve used another method to pull out the bulk of the stain. A good option is to use a wet cleaning method, then apply baking soda to the stain, and then follow that by vacuuming thoroughly. Remember that this vacuum type does not work on all carpet types. Wool can shrink with this method, so always check the cleaning instructions from your carpet’s manufacturer.

It’s possible to steam clean some couches, but not all materials deal well with exposure to heat and moisture. If your couch material is cotton or polyester, steam cleaning might work well. With more delicate materials and those that can retain water and attract mold, you should steer clear of steam cleaning. Some materials like silk and rayon should only be dry cleaned to avoid damage. When in doubt, we recommend calling in a professional upholstery cleaning service to clean your furniture without causing damage.

You can use baking soda to start getting the urine odor out of your mattress. Baking soda is highly absorbent and soaks up odors, so it will not only draw the urine out of your mattress but it can also get to work fighting the lingering smell. You can also use an enzymatic cleaner to break down the urine to make it easier to clean. Just keep in mind that you need to remove enzymatic cleaners from the mattress after use, as leaving them on could be dangerous.

Leaving pee on a mattress for an extended period of time will make it harder to remove the moisture, increase the likelihood of unappealing stains forming, and make the urine odor linger for a longer time. Ideally, you should start cleaning a urine-soaked mattress immediately. You can start by spraying a 1:1 solution of white distilled vinegar and water over the stain and then blotting it out. Then, sprinkle baking soda over the affected area, let it sit for 8 to 10 hours, and then vacuum it out. If the issue persists, you might need to dispose of your mattress and replace it.
