"It’s always great finding someone local you can trust for projects around the house. The work was done quickly, professionally, and with a lot of attention to detail. Communication was easy and everything was handled smoothly from start to finish. It’s clear he takes pride in what he does and wants the job done right. I’d gladly call again for future projects and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable handyman in the area."

"Sarah went above and beyond when we mentioned some minor issues with the table she made us. She came in asap with her tools and fixed them but also added some upgrades to prevent future problems. Sarah is polite and enthsiatic about her work and has obvious pride in what she does. Cannot reccomend her enough."

"Contacted FARS for 2 exterior doors to be installed. He responded promptly giving me a quote and time availability. Showed up on time the day of. He was super friendly. Both doors turned amazing. He cleaned up afterwards and even asked if we wanted them to dispose of the old doors for us. They went above and beyond to deliver great service. Will be going with them again for any future home improvement projects!"

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use chlorine tablets in a salt water pool. It is not the standard recommended practice, but if your pool needs more chlorine, adding tablets can help temporarily fix the problem. Only add as many tablets as needed to keep your chlorine level around three parts per million. After adding the tablets, test your water to determine the chlorine content.

Baking soda can help to clear your cloudy pool water if the alkalinity or pH is too low. Adding baking soda to your pool will increase the alkalinity and help bring your pH levels to a more comfortable range. Be sure to test the water as you add baking soda.

Yes, it’s possible to put too much salt in your saltwater pool, and doing so can cause a number of problems, including corroding metal parts and causing the chlorinator to stop working correctly. In general, slightly elevated salt levels won’t cause serious problems beyond salty-tasting water, but you should dilute the water in a pool with extremely high salt levels to prevent damage to its components.

Aboveground pools take between one day to a few days to install, depending on the pool size and type. Your project may take longer if you’re planning to complete other projects simultaneously, like building a deck around the pool. If your land is hilly or rocky, you’ll also need to budget time for the land preparation. Aboveground pools need to be installed on a level surface.

There are pros and cons of in-ground vs. above-ground pools, which you should consider when choosing the pool of your summertime dreams. Some factors to think about include:

  • Above-ground pools are semi-permanent and movable, whereas in-ground pools are permanent structures.

  • In-ground pools are more expensive to install than above-ground pools.

  • It takes one to three days to install above-ground pools and several weeks for an in-ground pool install.

  • You can install an above-ground pool in smaller yards, but you need plenty of space for an in-ground pool.
