"Promptly responded to a request for an estimate. Thoroughly explained what the job would entail, and sent an estimate to us within a few days. We hired them to remove 2 mature trees, which were close to the house. They seemed to be knowledgeable about the necessary equipment for the job. They told us how long it would take, and stuck to that schedule. They arrived with a good crew, and set up the job with safety in mind. They kept the site clean throughout the job, and used great care in not damaging the surrounding areas. They were thorough, and arrived on time each day of the job. We were quite pleased, and would highly recommend this tree service company!"

"Not only was the job done correctly but they also cleaned up after they had removed the hanging broken branches but cleaned up the area leaving the property look like none of this damage ever hit. I would recommend this company and Chad to any one who needs tree work. Very professional and reasonably priced."

"NE Tree Service of Two Rivers is family owned and operated by skilled arborists. The two Brothers and their Father, Mike, work well together. They are skilled and efficient in their trade. They are punctual and reasonably priced. Eric and Nick are sensitive and respectful to the personal wishes of the homeowner. They helped me to preserve old shrubs that were originally my Momâ s. This was important to me. I definitely recommend the North East Tree Services for your arborist needs. (920)973-3742"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you should not use a pruning seal on trees after trimming. Applying a sealant can interfere with the tree's natural healing process, and it does not guarantee protection from pathogens. Instead of sealing the cut, the best practice is to support the tree's natural recovery by providing it with plenty of water and a dormant-style fertilizer. However, there are exceptions. Pruning seals may be recommended for very vulnerable species, like elm trees, in areas where dangerous diseases such as Dutch elm disease are prevalent. In these specific situations, the protection offered by a sealant can outweigh its downsides. For advice tailored to your situation, especially after cutting large branches, it is best to consult a local tree trimming professional.

DIY is risky and not recommended for large trees; professional services ensure safe removal and proper disposal.

There are many signs that a tree is diseased or dying, and if you suspect that’s the case, you should call an arborist immediately. You might notice rot or fungus on the trunk or that the tree is beginning to lean to one side. Brittle branches or signs of root damage are other indicators that a tree is in trouble. If the tree is dying, it might be time to cut the tree down so it doesn’t fall.

In general, trees should be planted no closer than 15 to 20 feet from your foundation. For larger trees with far-reaching roots like maples, oaks, or poplars, a good guide is to plant as many feet from your home as the tree’s height is expected to reach at maturity. Some trees, like elms and willows, should only be planted far from where their roots may encounter sewer or water lines.

If executed correctly your tree should survive after being transplanted to a new spot. However, effective transplanting requires six months, careful root pruning, safe transport to the new location, and replanting in prime soil conditions. You’ll also need an appropriately sized root ball for a complete tree transplant. A good rule of thumb is that, for every inch in diameter, your tree’s root ball needs to be around 11 inches. So a tree with a diameter of six inches needs a root ball of approximately 66 inches.
