"The company called soon after the referral, set up a time and explained in detail what they do and how they clean the carpets. Gave me some info that I never knew before. The man that actually came to do the cleaning was clean, pleasant and very professional and finished in about the time they projected. And the carpet looks brand new. I am going to get them regularly and will highly recommend them to everyone. Mr. Moss wife came out Heidi and she was great she does all the bidding according to Mr. Moss and she helped us with color choices, gave us three free samples to choose from which they put on the house big enough for us to make a good decision, and  Mr. & Mrs. Moss showed up did what they said they would do and the quality was awesome, they cleaned up there mess and we were very pleased there cutting in was very good this was a big concern for me.

Yes, pressure washing a wood deck can be a good idea as it effectively lifts ingrained dirt, mold, and mildew, improving the deck's appearance and longevity. However, it must be done carefully, as it's easy to damage the wood, especially softwoods. To pressure wash safely, use a lower pressure setting and a wide, 40-degree fan pattern nozzle (often white). Keep the nozzle at least a foot away from the wood surface and maintain constant motion, avoiding hovering in one spot to prevent gouging.

It’s important to make sure the wood on a new deck is properly seasoned. Seasoning a deck is simple: Once you build it (or have a pro do so), just leave it alone so it can acclimate to the environment. If you don’t give the deck proper seasoning time before staining, the stain can lock in any lingering moisture and cause mold, rot, and other moisture issues down the road. Give the wood at least four to eight weeks to season before you stain.

That depends on the condition of your deck. An older deck that looks drab, worn, or has multiple damaged boards might be worth replacing before selling. However, if your deck is in good condition, you can simply clean, repaint, or stain it.

A deck doesn’t have to be perfectly level. Many pros even recommend a gentle slope to ensure proper drainage and increase longevity. The ideal gentle slope is about 1/8 to 1/4 inch per foot away from the property, leading water away from the home to prevent pooling and reduce the risk of damage. It also minimizes rot, mold, and other moisture-related problems. 

Local building codes don’t specify the number of steps a deck can have before a railing is required, mainly because stair height varies widely. Most areas require decks 30 inches or higher to have a railing. While not exact, that roughly equates to four to seven steps.
