The frequency of lawn aeration depends on factors such as soil type, yard traffic, and lawn health. In most cases, annual aeration is sufficient to maintain a healthy lawn. Eventually, compacted soil can weaken grass, while also making it more vulnerable to pests, diseases, and erosion and even causing it to die off.
