Small jobs welcome

I am a dedicated Husband and father to 2 great kids (Addy and Austin).\n\nI grew up in Appleton and lived in the Fox Valley my entire life. I have had a successful career in Operations, but its time for a change.\n\nI am watching my parents and my friends parents age and struggle to maintain their homes. It's hard to watch someone lose something they worked so hard for just because of physical limitations/aging. \n\nThat is why I started my business. I want to support people's lives by helping them stay in their home. \n\nYou need it done, I can get it done.

"I always use Fox Valley Cleaners because they are the best. We have our carpets cleaned at least once a year. They cleaned the carpets in the bedrooms and the living room.

They are excellent. I have a dog and three cats and my carpet is fourteen years old and it looks like new every time they are done.  They are well worth every penny and they are kind of hard to get into because they stay pretty busy but they are definitely worth the money."

"Mike, with Floor Shine, was priced affordably, was extremely reliable, and exceeded expectations! I hired him from out of state to clean my elderly mother’s carpets and tile grout. My mom has two geriatric dogs, and SIX cats. Mike stuck to his original bid, despite all the pet stains and odor. He showed up right on time with both his visits to the home. My mom felt extremely comfortable with him, and his professionalism. I would recommend Mike, and his company, Floor Shine, to EVERYONE in the North Central Florida area!"

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

The best way to clean vinyl floors is to vacuum or sweep away debris and then mop the floors using a mixture of warm water and dish soap or vinegar. You can also use store-bought cleaners if they’re marked safe for vinyl surfaces.

Yes, you can polish an old cement floor. However, be aware that the first pass with the concrete grinder may reveal a few surprises and imperfections. You may also have to contend with the consequences of previous floor coverings, such as tile or carpet, which can leave a pattern in the concrete. Old concrete is more likely to produce uneven results if you want to use a dye or other coloring.

Most experts agree that the best thing with which to clean epoxy floors is a diluted mixture of ammonia and warm water. You can also use mild dish soap diluted with warm water or a degreaser (such as Simple Green or Goof Off) diluted with warm water. Some soap-based cleaners can leave a haze. If you notice this, further dilute the mixture with water or use a different detergent that does not leave a film. You should never use harsh cleaning chemicals, any type of acidic compound (such as vinegar or citrus-based cleansers), or harsh scrubbers like steel wool or hard bristle brushes.

Like any other type of flooring, you will need to keep up with regular maintenance on your epoxy floors to keep them in the best shape possible; however, it is not like hardwood floors inside a house, which require special care and more consistent maintenance.

Just make sure you use the right cleaning tools and solutions. Avoid using harsh tools like scrub brushes or hard-bristled brooms. You should also skip cleaners that are highly acidic, including white vinegar.

Yes, polished concrete floors are worth it for homeowners who want durability, style, and low maintenance in one sleek flooring surface. You get the modern visual appeal of stone or tile with far less upkeep and far less cost. Polished concrete flooring is tough enough for high-traffic areas, it’s a great choice for people with allergies, and it’s easy to clean. If your existing concrete is in good shape, polishing it can give you solid value that shines on for years.
