I have brought several websites to the company for Dan Martin to design and he wound up angering every single customer and lost every account. I was willing to train Dan on how to provide excellent websites, but Dan is one of those kids that thinks he knows so much that he can't learn anything new. I trusted Paul Dickey enough to invest $40,000 and put my own reputation on the line and he turned out to be a fraud and a thief. The CEO we hired, Scott Arnett and I will be suing Paul Dickey for theft of equipment, fraud and property damage. I would be surprised if he is not brought up on criminal charges. Do not do business with Paul Dickey, Dan Martin or 1724 Designs, even though I'm apparently a 1/3rd owner. Yes, I realize that I'll never be able to make my money back by letting everyone know of their nature, but I don't want anyone else to lose money or time to market by putting their trust in these two.

They worked for 13 hours straight with no breaks/lunch (that's not including their travel time 1+ hours to and from Milwaukee). They brought a double crew in to do the job because of the distance we are from Milwaukee. We interviewed 6 foundation repair companies... We chose Accurate Basement Repair because of their plan of attack, warrantee, price and positive feedback from people. I would do it again in a heartbeat! They brought in enough people and equipment to do the job and they did it well! Fred even had his workers install a biomesh that we purchased to deter tree roots. There is a 70' tree about 8' from the house which we didn't want to lose. They maneuvered in between the house and tree wonderfully. They ended up rebuilding the south basement wall which was totally unexpected. Fred did say they'd have to charge a little bit more for that... They supplied the top row of cinder blocks that they had to put in because someone had used a very thin block and turned it up on it's side which was totally wrong -- Fred and his crew made sure it was done right! They charged an additional $500 to do that which was absolutely understandable considering the extra time and materials it took them to make sure it was done right! Fred also told us that the house sill plate was rotted and said we would need to get a carpenter in to repair that. Again, because of the long hours they put in, the fact that it wasn't included in the bid, I was ok with that...(see problem with that below) The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that the estimator said that they would tuckpoint the north and east walls as well as the south wall which needed to be straightened. The north wall had one vertical crack from settling, the rest were hairline cracks and cosmetic only. They tuckpointed the south wall beautifully. When I mentioned to Fred about the north and east walls, he apologized and said he didn't realize that was included in the bid. He did make sure the vertical crack was filled and I was ok with him not doing the hairline cracks because they had worked 13 hours w/ no breaks and it was cosmetic only. Had I insisted, I have no doubt they would have honored the estimators word... Now - on to getting the sill plate repaired.... we tried and tried to get someone out to repair the house sill... I probably called 10+ carpenters - either they were too busy or weren't quite sure how to fix it... this is a very old house.. there was a box beam that was rotted that had electric lines running through it.. pretty much a nightmare... so after trying to find someone to repair in the winter during hunting season w/ absolutely no luck... I called Fred pretty much in tears and said the had to come back out and fix the sill..... Fred told me they didn't do that kind of work that we'd need to find a carpenter to do it.. I told him I tried and couldn't find anyone... Fred said 'let me make a few calls'.... his secretary called me back shortly and said that Kip Kolich would be calling me w/ in the hour and he could do the job. Kip called and had someone out that night.. long story short, they jacked up the house that weekend and replaced the sill... was a 2 day job (like I said, it was a nightmare - and colder than h***!) In my opinion - not only did Fred (Accurate Basement Repair) do the basement job well, but he went above and beyond in finding us someone who could replace the sill! Would I recommend Fred, Junior and the rest of the crew from Accurate Basement Repair - ABSOLUTELY!!!! I am going to break from tradition with all the other reports posted on this contractor. Cannot believe this is the first negative report given on this contractor because he is good, and I mean that in a bad way. I am not the first homeowner that he has scammed and conned money out of. He has been around the block and has his sales pitch down to a science. I have been scammed and readily admit that and I should know better, but hopefully this report will prevent someone else from falling for the same tactics. From the moment the saleman steps on your property he will act like your best friend. In fact count how many times during the sales routine he says " let me tell you this as a friend, not a salesman". Everything that he tells you will be a lie or a twist of the real truth in order to get money from your wallet. He will tell you one hundred times how his customers are number one (until you don't pay him). He will tell you how they have the best and only 20 year warranty in the business and that he does everything above WAFRP standards because he has to warranty it for so long. This guy is the biggest self promoting blowhard you will ever meet. He will scribble on the Estimate form and explain how they remove all the old backplaster and tar because it is done much better these days and that stuff is no good, it was just sprayed on, etc. He will explain how they backfill to within 18" of grade, put down the best filter cloth in the business and then add compacted topsoil to grade. He explained to me how he could tell by looking at my siding which was exposed by over an inch on the bottom but tight at the corners that the wall was bowed in leaving the bottom of the siding and insulation exposed. He said when they push the wall out that will close up again. Explained how I had what is considered severe movement as it was over 1-1/2" and at 4" you are in danger of collapse. See attached estimate.I received three estimates and then called this contractor back, he was not the lowest or the highest but the lowest guy was not going to perform the full excavation for about the same money and I thought that was the best way to go. As soon as this sales guy returned he wanted to go over the basement again. I stated that we were going to go with his estimate but wanted some things clarified, like how he was going to handle reinforcing the walls at the stairway from my garage to the basement as columns could not be installed there. He talked about infills during the estimate and showed excavating that entire wall on his sketch but now he claims he did not include that and the measurement on his estimate is short of what he actually has to dig. Then he preceded to do some math and added $3500 to the original estimate. I stated that I work for a contractor and when we estimate a job we are stuck with that number. I should have asked him to leave at this point, but even the higher number was lower than the next estimate. So I succumbed to his sales tactics. And I probably wouldn't even be upset if he had done what he stated and promised but he verbally tells you a lot more than what they will actually do and if he had accepted some responsibility for damaging the siding. He agreed to do some other work for me for cash but would not write it on the contract. Just notes "see owner". When the crew comes to start the work not one of the 7 guys knew what the sales guy had promised and if I had not been home none of it would have been done. I was supposed to be notified when the east side was half backfilled so that i could install some brackets on the block walls for some equipment. I was working from home and trying to keep an eye on these guys and I got out there they had it backfilled 3/4 of the way. I told them to stop and they said they have to keep working to get the job done on time. I jumped in the hole and did my thing as the salesman said I could, but it was aggravating. Every job is the same to the crew, they even said they had the contract with them but when I asked when they do the infills they stated there were none on this job. I said that's fine if I don't need them I will take the $3500 adder off the contract. They were supposed to put 8 block piers in along the north side from the footing to just below grade. I heard the one guy telling the other to go get 32 block to replace the footing they had removed. I questioned whether 32 block would build 8 piers? They knew nothing about them. I said look at the contract which said "see homeowner" but the salesman had not gone over anything with these guys. This company lacks in communication skills BIG TIME. Again if I had not been home it would not have gotten done. When they were pounding out the block walls to level them I noticed that they were pushing out the siding and insulation with it and went down and told them. They stated "probably are" we will fix that later. The salesman had explained to me how they take weight off the wall by jacking up the floor joists and putting pressure on the wall with jacks and how it will suddenly "snap" into place. They did no such thing and in fact when forcing the wall out pushed the bottom of the rim joist away from the floor joist by over one inch, creating a bigger problem with the siding outside than I had before. These guys were determined to be done by Friday evening, they started on Wednesday, and were rushing to finish up and clean up. I stated that the siding issue was still not resolved and they replied that "that is the way it is supposed to be and is as good as they can do". That is when I lost composure and went off on them and showed them how they separated the rim joist and pushed the siding out and they weren't leaving until it was fixed. They realized what they had done and had 4 guys with pry bars under the siding trying to beat the rim joist back into place. They moved it some but in the process ruined several pieces of cement board siding that had just been put on 4 years ago. They then said that "was as good as it gets" and they couldn't do any more unless they removed the bottom row of siding. I stated that it was under warranty and needs to be removed and installed by a qualified installer and that I would call him and they would have to pay for the work to be done. They said they are not siding guys and were hired to straighten my walls and they did that, now pay up. I refused to pay, besides they did not have any paperwork anyway. Crew chief called me the next Wednesday and said he was in the area and wanted to stop for final payment. I said I had an estimate for the work to fix the siding ($980.00) and I would pay all but that for final payment. He stated they were not responsible for the siding but wanted to know what was damaged (he was the guy that did it). I told him not to stop over then but found out later that he had stopped and took photos of the siding damage. On Saturday I get a call from the salesman, now mind you he did not stop once during the work and I had not heard from him till over a week later. He says he is in the area and wants to inspect the job. I was home so I said ok. He stops with the crew leader that did the job. We go to the backyard and he brings out photos of the siding damage and says "show me these". Which I did and he says "you can just caulk over those cracks". I told him it wasn't going to happen, not with new siding and then I'd have warranty issues. He continued through the basement, patting himself on the back about what a good job he did of measuring the columns. Self promoting himself and the company. Then he says " pay up"! I asked if he had the waiver of lien and permit copy which he didn't, he did not even have a copy of the contract and couldn't tell me how much I owed him. Should have escorted him off the property right then but I am an honest person even when working with a crook. I said I would pay him some more but not the full amount until he brought the proper paperwork and we settled the siding issue. Bailey Concrete & Masonry had been referred to us by a relative who had used them to make their new concrete porch and steps. Bailey Concrete arrived the night before job started and placed some equipment on the property, then arrived the next morning at 8am as promised and finished by early afternoon. Workers had to remove some of the mobile home skirting to access the driveway as well as move a central a/c unit out of the construction area. The next day, workers returned to remove concrete forms, replaced our mobile home skirting (which required the workers to trim about 2\" off some of the skirting pieces - due to the new height of the superior concrete driveway) and back-filled edges of driveway by lawn to eliminate any gaps between driveway and lawn. Workers also reinstalled our back porch steps (which are wooden) to the home by cutting and leveling 4 x 4 supports for the stairs and even repaired our top stair step which had become loose from the frame. They also placed the a/c unit back into position on the new concrete pad. Workers then cleaned up all tools and debris (including the skirting trim and wooden trim pieces previously mentioned) and removed same from the property. The result is fantastic! Everything is straight, level and beautiful. Our neighbors also commented that their 2 young sons (ages 10 and 8) watched the workers' progress and asked (many) questions, and the workers were kind and patient with the boys. FAQs for playground equipment service projects in Juda, WI
The average cost of playground equipment installation is around $500, and most homeowners pay between $330 and $700, excluding the cost of the playground equipment itself. Your total project cost will depend on site preparation requirements, playset size, design complexity, number of accessories, and the swing set materials. Don’t forget to account for the cost of playground surfacing, which can cost between $15 to $160 per cubic yard or $225 per cubic yard for poured rubber.
It may be tempting to DIY the construction of a swing set to save money, but we don’t recommend it. Since children will use the swing set, the entire system must be solid and safe, meaning the cost savings aren’t worth potentially endangering them. Plus, most DIYers will have to build their swing sets out of wood, which won’t last as long as metal or vinyl and introduces the risk of splinters. Instead, hire a local playground equipment installer to ensure the swing set is built safely and efficiently, setting up your kids for fun for years to come.
Rubber mulch is widely considered the best material to place under a playset. This material option provides more cushioning than traditional wood mulch for added protection, remains cooler than sand and most other materials in direct sunlight, and it’s low maintenance. Rubber mulch is slightly more expensive than other common options at $120 per cubic yard on average, whereas pine bark mulch is $30 per cubic yard. But when it comes to your children’s safety, the investment is worthwhile. Consult your playground equipment installation company about material recommendations before starting this project.
Whether or not you need a permit to install a playground depends on where you live, as some cities require it and others don’t. You can contact your local building department to find the answer or ask your playground equipment installer if you need a permit. Reputable playground equipment companies will know the laws in your area and can help you apply for the permit and coordinate inspections. Building permits cost$250 to $2,000 for outdoor projects.
In most cases, your professional playground installer will put down a playground surface before assembling the fun-filled system. However, you should ask your installer about this service before booking an installment date. Most playground equipment installation companies offer service add-ons like leveling the area, laying down a surface, building a border to keep the surface material contained, and setting up the swing set.
