"Bill replied to my request and on the same day was kind enough to come out and address our kitchen sink, new garbage disposal and dish washer hookup situation. He did a great job in a timely fashion and for a very fair price. I would recommend Bill to anyone that needs any such work done - and probably other work he advertises that we may not have needed on this visit. We will certainly use his services in the future if the situation arises."

"The owner himself came out right away when our main sewage line was clogged and got us back up and going, even though it was a holiday, and everyone else was closed. We also live way out in the country, and there was no hesitation to still take our job. Really grate rates! Very professional! We appreciate Badger Drains."

"I actually got Sullivans' from Angies' list and it was the first time I used Angie.  The crew worked so quickly I was astonished.   They were professional and friendly.  I even had something wrong with one of the parts of the gutters and one of the crew came back with the tool to fix it free of charge. The price was excellent and I have an old house and a lot more work to be done on it and I certainly will be calling Sullivans.  Thanks Angie for your list and thanks guys for the great job.

"I didn't hire Delie Plumbing, but it was certainly NOT the fault of the contractor! It was an issue with my house. This contractor was very professional, helpful, and was in immediate contact with me. He was very knowledgeable and I was very impressed! I would most definitely recommend his services to anyone! Toilets questions, answered by experts

What you include in your bathroom remodel will depend on your budget, personal preferences, and the current condition of your bathroom. Bathroom renovations often involve changing out the shower or tub, faucet, showerhead, tiles, flooring, mirrors, sink, cabinets, and vanities. You may also want to upgrade the wallcovering, adding new wallpaper or paint.

The normal water level in a toilet bowl is about halfway full. The water should sit above the P trap drain because this creates a seal and suction. When you flush the toilet, the suction keeps sewer gases from entering your house through your toilet. Anytime the water level is higher or lower than half full, you need to make adjustments or replace broken parts.

The cost to install a new toilet typically runs from $225 to $530. This doesn’t include the price of the toilet itself, which can cost $90 to $1,500 depending on the model and features you choose. You can save money if you choose to install a toilet yourself. However, you might want to hire a pro for this project.

"Due to the many complexities of replacing a toilet flange, it is typically a job best left to the pros," says Jeff Botelho, Angi Expert Review Board member and plumber. "Many times it isn't as simple and straightforward as 'pop off the old one and pop on a new one' because the flange is either glued on (PVC/ABS), soldered on (brass/copper), or caulked in place with a lead & oakum joint (cast iron) and none of these things can be easily reversed without years of training and repetitive practice."

You should replace your toilet at least every 25 years. While toilets are pretty sturdy appliances, they don’t last forever. Even if you aren’t ready to invest in the cost of a bathroom remodel yet, just replacing your toilet will help freshen up your space and keep your bathroom functioning.

Some older homes have toilets in the basement to combat sewage backups. This type of toilet, also known as a Pittsburgh potty, acted as a safety valve over the incoming sewer line. If a line backed up, it would back up into the toilet because it was the lowest fixture in the home, keeping it out of sight and away from the finished areas of the house.

Basement toilets were also used by workers with messy jobs, like those who worked in coal mines or steel mills. This way, they could clean up and avoid tracking dirt through their home.
