"The wind storm blew a few shingles off my roof and Shawn was there that day by 1:00 to assess. He fixed the roof the next day, and I have now scheduled a roof replacement for next Spring. Shawn was great and took so much time to explain roofs and whatnot. I'm looking forward to working with them next year."

"I booked the roof repair job, and they were prompt to come out to first do a survey, provided a quote, and we were able to quickly schedule a time for repair. Repairs were done quickly, and there was great communication with the office."

"Shingle roof project in February! (Shingles have adhesive that works in cold weather) 8 square roof. 2 roofers. 3 layers of old shingles removed and new underlayment installed by the end of day 1. 1 brand new shingle roof and ground cleaned up by afternoon of day 2. Very impressive!"

Roofing questions, answered by experts

The amount of hail damage that warrants a roof replacement depends on the size of the hail. In many cases, a roof replacement is needed if your roof gets hail that is 1 inch or larger in diameter. You may also need to replace a roof due to hail damage if you notice several dents in the shingles or there are seven to 10 hail impact marks within a 10x10 foot area on your roof.

Clay tile roofing is more susceptible to damage from impact than something like a metal roof or even asphalt shingles, so they aren’t ideal in areas that see frequent windblown debris or hail. Clay tile roofs are also an average of $8,000 more expensive than asphalt shingle roofs, so up-front cost is an important consideration to make before committing.

If you're looking for a dependable and affordable option for garage roofing, asphalt shingles offer a durable way to blend a detached garage in with the surrounding residential aesthetic. If you're looking for a more durable and protective option because you're storing expensive equipment in your garage, consider metal roofs that perform well against snow, ice, hail, and heavy rains.

16-gauge galvanized steel staples with a minimum crown of 15/16 inches or 24 millimeters are occasionally used to install shingles. However, most shingle manufacturers or residential building codes don’t recommend staples as a roofing fastener. Roofing nails are preferred in most cases, especially in areas that get a lot of heavy wind.

Clay tile roofing is common for traditional villas, while flat roofs are more standard for modern villa homes. Clay tile roofs are long-lasting, require little maintenance, and are great for warmer climates. Flat roofs are usually low-cost, energy-efficient, and allow for rooftop gardens.
