"It took us over a year to find a firm willing to address the sinking drain cover in our driveway. We received bids ranging from a totally redo of the driveway to overly creative ideas. "While Dave was great communicating when onsite, we didn't hear about the delay in start (which affected other contractor start dates we already lined up) until we reached out to him to confirm. When they began framing, the frame was too short and not where our old patio had ended. Dave gladly moved it out, but told us that this is not where our old patio ended (which it was because we took before photos and measured). The lesson here is to always review the work as they are going, as if we didn't say anything, our patio would have been too short and our deck box would not have fit under the window where it was before. I will preface the rest of this feedback by saying that I'm a firm believer in leaving someone home the way you find it and that I'm a detail-oriented person by nature. I was disappointed at how ruined our grass was afterwords. At the beginning, they told us they would lay down boards so the impact on the grass from driving on it would be minimal, however, when they left, it looked like there were never even boards laid down and we now need to invest the money to fix the lawn on the entire side of our house. I was also disappointed in the border coloring. The woman was not friendly when I went out to confirm everything with her and it ended up very sloppy (drip marks in spots, pools of color in other spots). The coloring on the side of the stairs is also very sloppy and not even. Lastly, they drilled into our siding to brace the stair frame and never even told us. While I understand that it might have been necessary, it would have been great for them to tell us about it or caulk back up the holes when they were done. For this kind of money, I think the small details matter as much as the big ones and I was not impressed from that standpoint."
