"We hired Driftless Exteriors to power wash the exterior of an old building we purchased. The outside of the building was embarrassing with the disgusting build up. Driftless was prompt at being there at the time scheduled and notified me that he would come back to finish up the next day due to the algae needing extra setting time with the removal solution. I appreciated the fact that he wanted to do the best job to end up with the best result. I contacted him through facebook messenger and responses were always very quick. I would highly recommend Driftless for anyone's power washing needs!"

Small jobs welcome

"This crew of concrete workers is very hard working and take their end product seriously. It’s obvious they really care about the quality of their work. They created the walk out basement foundation for our new home along with the attached garage and front porch. We are very happy with how it turned out."

Patios questions, answered by experts

Building a sunroom can take anywhere from two weeks to six months. An average-sized sunroom typically takes between two and eight weeks to complete, but more elaborate or larger projects can take longer. The final timeline depends on factors such as the sunroom's size, features, structural requirements, type, and whether it's a retrofit or a new build from scratch.

By tailoring materials and colors to match architectural styles.

Yes, adding a sunroom can increase your home's value, with a return on investment (ROI) ranging from 20% for a screen room to 50% for a three- or four-season room. The amount of value added depends on the design. Fully insulated, temperature-controlled four-season sunrooms add the most value as they can be included in the home's total living space. In contrast, simpler structures like Arizona rooms or solariums typically have a lower return as they don't count as legal living space. A high-quality sunroom can also be an attractive feature for potential buyers, especially those who enjoy gardening. The value may also be higher in warmer climates where this feature is more sought after. When deciding, consider both the potential resale value and the personal value you will get from using the room.

While there is no one size that’s considered best, the sunroom size that’s best for you will come down to the size of your home and how you want to use your sunroom. Smaller sunrooms under 120 square feet provide a nice semi-outdoor sitting area, medium-sized sunrooms between 120 and 200 square feet can house an outdoor dining area and a small area for additional seating, and large sunrooms over 200 square feet can serve multiple purposes and even include an outdoor kitchen.

A sunroom may count toward your home's total square footage or living space if it meets certain conditions, which can vary by local regulations. Generally, for a sunroom to be included, it must be fully enclosed, properly insulated, and equipped with electrical access and a heating and cooling (HVAC) system, similar to a four-season room. It should also meet the same construction standards as the rest of the house. Three-season sunrooms that function more like enclosed porches typically do not count toward the total square footage and are considered exterior living space.
