Kraus Snowplows and Equipment was founded in 1978 by Tom Kraus. The primary business at that time was selling Patz Equipment. We have installed and serviced farm equipment ever since that time. We have expanded our offerings to Agromatic, Berg and Kraiburg farm products as time progressed. In 1997, we purchased a snowplow business and provide full sales, service and parts for Boss, Hiniker, Kage, Meyer, Western & Saltdogg snowplows and salters. In 2000, we began pouring concrete as a concrete contractor. We pour flat-work and walls for all agricultural, commercial and residential customers. Since the business has expanded, we now employ 10 people and have built a new shop and storage area in 2009.

Empire Home Remodeling, Inc specializes in windows, siding, roofing, creativity, customer service and project management necessary for success. Our most satisfied customers are those who want a company to manage their project, leaving the problem solving and details to the professionals, thus allowing them a worry-free experience.

"Alex was our salesperson he did a great job of showing us what needed to be done regarding our project, (which was installing a new rear door). He was very understanding of our needs and wants. They were the first company who came out and we went with them without getting any estimates from any other companies. GREAT JOB."

Concrete Finishing questions, answered by experts

Usually 2-3 days, plus additional curing time before full use.

Seal every 2-3 years, clean regularly, and repair cracks promptly to maintain appearance and longevity.

Polishing a concrete floor isn’t as expensive as it sounds—it’s actually one of the more budget-friendly upscale flooring options out there. On average, it costs $4,500, with most projects falling between $1,000 and $8,000 . When you’re working with an existing slab of concrete, you skip material costs entirely, so it’s even more affordable. If you want a glossy, durable floor without paying hardwood or tile prices, polished concrete delivers serious shine without the sticker shock.

When you don’t seal concrete, the colors and designs fade, water marks appear, and stains penetrate from the top layer to the lower layers, making them difficult to remove. Applying a sealant is strongly recommended for not only stamped concrete but any poured concrete. Speak with your concrete contractor about sealant options depending on the slab's intended use.

You can put pavers over concrete following a similar procedure as above, but there are a few additional risks you need to be aware of—like stability, drainage, and the patio’s thickness. Once you lay a paver patio over concrete, it will be nearly impossible to treat any issues that your concrete may face, like cracks or water pooling. So while you may save some time and money on concrete removal and site prep, it may cost you more in the long run.
