"Because houseguests were coming on short notice, we needed to redo a bathroom that was in terrible shape. It didn't just need to be painted - the wall surfaces were a mess, with a poorly done sandcoat finish and problems due to previously removed wallpaper and border. Also, because of somewhat odd colored tile and grout in the tub/shower, we despaired of finding a wall color that would look good with the tile, but yet harmonize with the colors in the rest of the house. Shena at Red Canary was just terrific - she came out right away, squeezed us into her schedule in time to be done before our guests arrived, and she came up with a great color choice we just love! The walls were repaired and skim coated to correct the flaws before painting - they look perfect - you'd never know the state they'd been in before! Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and professional, and went out of their way to help us with other aspects of the renovation project. Shena has very high standards for work quality, and she wasn't ready to sign off on the job as finished until everything was perfect. We were so happy to have learned of Red Canary and Shena through Angie's List - she was a delight to work with, and we're thrilled with the outcome.
